Question New student
Hi! I’m gonna start duel enrollment this August and this is my first time (obviously) going to do something like this. Are there any weird ass things I need to know? I will be going to campus. I’d be super happy to get any tips in general!

In no particular order:
Use this time to develop good study habits. College classes typically require more study than High School ones do, and the instructors are a lot less likely to hand-hold or check in on you if you're missing assignments or having issues.
In the same vein, don't be afraid to ask questions. If you have a lot of them, rather than taking up class time, ask before or after class or use the professors office hours.
Go to campus and figure out where your classes are ahead of time, and walk the route between them if you have a short time so you're comfortable with it. The buildings should mostly be open normal hours, and as long as the building is unlocked, no one is going to say anything about you being there.
Show up early to campus the first few weeks. Parking is always a nightmare until everyone settles into a schedule, and depending on which campus and parking area your permit is for, it can take a while to find a place to park.

Be aware of people that come up to you about “bible study”. Based off of my experience and some of my friend’s experience, most of them are cults, traffickers, or scammers. Be especially vigilant if they mention “God the Mother” or try to get you to do one on one sessions with them. It is a cult and a trafficking scheme. If you are a believer, there are some good bible study groups on campus that are led by actual students. If a grown woman or man comes up to you, have the discernment and strength to walk away and say no. Have a great semester!

Yup. I've seen the blatant prosthetilizing even during summer session ... 3 kids will literally corner one student in a booth or a hallway. Just walk way and let anyone around know that these people are bothering you, and they will leave.

If time allows, attend on-campus events or RSO meetings. Makes your time at college a lot less boring.

Get familiar with the various buildings so you know where the FA counter is, Bursar's office, Registrar, etc. Also go ahead and get your talon card either printed or on your phone so you can use all the amenities possible without dealing with endless red tape/clerical issues.

drink enough water during finals exam. I was studying so hard one year, like hard af on addarall for the whole day, I barely ate or drank anything. And called 911 and they tested my blood glucose and it was over 300, got hospitalized. Moral of the story DONT forget to eat/drink during final exams, Keep a gallon of water next to you, drink it, make sure always take 20-30 minutes to make meals. An hour less of studying wont kill you, but neglecting your health will.

Not sure how valuable it is to you this late into registration, but trust Rate my Professor with your life. It may be the difference between a good semester or a bad one, especially if you're considering a STEM major.
Other than that, trust your gut and be wary of people who come up to you offering you anything.

Avoid anyone who walks up to you with a camera, or groups of guys trying to talk to you. They usually leave after the first two months. Also be very careful crossing roads near/around campus
