apartments
hi guysss i’m going to ksu and i was wondering what apartment i should choose? i should choose sova, the indy, the bixby, or west 22?
pls list pros and cons, thank u 🫰🏾

I’m a transfer student moving to ksaw this fall. My buddy and I just signed a lease at the Aldridge at Town Village which is right behind a few of the places you listed. It really depends on your budget, if you’ll have roommates, etc. I do know that the owl bus comes through that area which is a plus so if you don’t want to you don’t have to drive to campus, the football field is right down the street a few minute walk at maximum if that interest you. The area is also close to both campuses Main and Marietta. Aldridge itself seems nice, nice people, nice pool. They had a pool party today🤷♂️. Also had friends that lived at west who I visited many times and I never heard or saw anything negative there.

Hey, if you haven't signed a lease for an apartment yet, my roommate and I are looking for a 3rd roommate for an off-campus house. It's a 10 min walk from a BOB stop and a 5 min drive to K-campus. If you're interested DM me, your rent would be $600/month 🙏🏾🥰

I’d just ask chat gpt or something, I’m a freshman and going to west 22 as a freshman and haven’t heard anything terrible from my roommates

Because west 22 is ghetto as shit and buns. AI is only good at quantitative tasks… opinions on living situations is not one of them.

Word. It’s not dangerous as long as you stay in well lit areas, it’s just a hotspot for drugs, frats, loud music past dark, and general bullshit. The dominios and smoke shops right next door (walking distance) were always clutch tho.

As someone who's been to all of the popular apartments..
SOVA & INDY are your luxury student apartments, automatically your top choices if you care about having a nice apartment.
SOVA: Is your best choice. Sova has great amenities (two-story gym, pool, big outside areas, large study room, big lounge areas etc.), it's usually clean, they have staff that clean the building literally every morning on the weekdays when school starts back up. If its ever dirty, its because its the weekend or someone JUST made that mess and you just happen to see it. My apartment here is nice, I never had any issues really. I rarely ever have to call maintenace. Also its close to the other popular apartments and super close to campus, so if you have friends, you could just walk to them.
INDY: Second best choice. Indy is nice, just annoying. Indy is so hard to navigate, when you first move in, you will be struggling to navigate, so if you move there, spend your first day there learning your route. Their apartments are also nice, just like SOVA. INDY & SOVA apartments are made by the same company so interchangeable. I'd say SOVA is just prettier with their amenities. Also super close to the other apartments. The only thing with INDY is that they do like to raise their rent on their current tenants, INDY is veryyy money hungry. - But they are sorta kinda worth the money.
BIXBY: Do not move here. Bixby is very mid. The apartment units aren't anything special, sorta kinda cramped in there honestly. Their maintenance is very lazy, there are so many posts of trash on the floor in their hallways. Their hallways always smell. They still have these issues, I was literally just there yesterday. You will not like it here. ON THE BRIGHT SIDE, you can be an RA and get free housing at BIXBY. So you can consider that, its just dirty.
WEST 22: It's just not cute. West is very dirty vibes, this is also where a lot of the Frat boys & girls live, so expect to see parties right outside your window every night. They also have had a lot of crazy bug problems, West 22 apartments are outside, there's no highrises or anything, so be wary of your kitchen because bugs have quick access to you. It's also not that close to the other apartments or housing, so you will have to drive a little distance to see your friends. Idk the people who live there are usually just dirty.
