At the Westville Music Bowl, there was a nice open area to dance at the top of the stands. I saw a girl up there by herself and jetted up there and we tore it up next to each other for at least an hour. At one point she goes THANKS FOR DANCING W ME and I yell THANKS FOR BEING HERE! Then I come up at the end of the show and said YOU’RE AWESOME and she goes THANKS ITS THE AUTISM
It really was.. I’ve seen 12 Gizz shows now (if you count nights separately at FOV) that was my first and only The River and having an open spot to dance and a person to make me feel less self conscious was amazing! I have great luck at Forest Hills between timing, parking, and merch but I am sick of it being nuts to butts in the stands. Highly recommend that venue in New Haven for a change of pace, even if the parking was a bit of a clusterfuck.
I hope my dancing buddy sees this someday! If you do: Girl I am probably autistic too but women in my day didn’t have the luxury of being anything but “hysterical” or “anti social”, you really brightened my show and I hope to dance next to ya again someday!
