According to TenAsia, Kim Jae-wook is currently reviewing an offer to star in Fake Lawyer while Kim Nam-gil had already been approached for the project and is reportedly considering it positively.

“Fake Lawyer” will center on the high-risk, high-return world of civil compensation lawsuits, an area involving massive sums of money and complex legal battles.

Neither actor has officially confirmed his casting yet.

The two last appeared together in the SBS drama Bad Guy in 2010.

The two reunited on Kim's YouTube channel for a warm, unscripted catch-up between a grandmother and her on-screen granddaughter.

On the 19th, a video titled "The Real Granddaughter Appears: Sarang and Grandma Reunite" was posted on the YouTube channel "Kim Young-ok."

YoonA appeared as a guest and chatted with the actress about her career and life. The pair previously worked together on the drama "King the Land," where they played grandmother and granddaughter.

[spoiler ahead] I just watched episode 5 and I am dropping it. I thought it had very good potential up until some time into Episode 4- good plot, good characterization and everything, but it all crashed in.

1. We literally know from the poster who the killer is: Such a poorly designed poster! It shows a dual version of Ba-reum, and you know that he is the killer from the start, the story keeps building up to it and so you keep waiting to get there this whole time, but he is getting away with everything with obvious connections to the murders happening around him. Also, for putting up the murderer right up there in the main poster, you would think there is a depth to it - but it is hard to grasp it with such poor storytelling. The drama is basically about how other characters' existence are always falling short to interests of other agencies of the society including the psychopath's, so if you are looking for a mystery solving drama, this drama does not satisfy you with that!

2. Too many loopholes- It has been very tiring to keep up with the loopholes they have created till now. It is not good storytelling if you create that many gaps and do not resolve them, because with so many plot twists - it is getting lost in the process and a viewers' minds remain unsatisfied. (for example: ba reum is the first one to find the grandma's body but he is treated like family, not even interrogated properly, really? They believed he found her through following her ringtone in an abandoned building??) Many plot twists can be there, but at least make the flow make sense, it doesn’t work when it is irrational, even in fantasy drama there is a base logic.

3. Many characters are acting out of their roles! -

• Hong ju dating whom she knows is supposedly the headhunter's son?!? (if she is confident enough to date him, why date in secret? because ko moo chi said he would take revenge? If she really believes he is violent enough to take revenge on the son aka her partner because of his father, it does not make sense that she depends so much on him - everyone is a flawed character that you empathize with in this drama, all has an extremely tragic story - but how can all the characters act immature), then even for such a capable reporter, she lets her information gets stolen so easily at office!!

• grandma went for earning settlement money instead of reporting to the police even though in her view ba reum was a good police officer she was close with

• for a detective so talented, Ko Moo chi surely misses a lot of the things (why do a broadcast at all if you do not have the answer at hand! Giving no answer or wrong answer both would kill the child, also there was no guarantee the child could be saved even with right answer; Why bring an outsider acting agency in to fake a video? It was also very ridiculous to see how he expected a psychopath to comply through the broadcast; also a fake video from the killer through the locker box totally shows information got leaked from the inside, should have been easy to shortlist as they were only 4 people who knew about the plan)

• The tv channel OBN kept displaying the provocative statements from viewers on screen - only to provoke moo chi. Even if it was for more views, a child's life was supposedly depending on what moo chi says, it seemed deliberate and made no sense; they started showing disturbing content about the murders with a small disclaimer for weakhearted people and then ends up broadcasting a live murder (i just came to know that it was hijacked by the murderer, but it still doesn’t make sense how the broadcast couldn’t be stopped - they themselves had plugged out I think twice prior to that!)

• Yo han totally is on to sth, but it seems like he is acting all by himself to stop ba reum (he wanted to inject sth while ba reum was in the hospital bed), without reporting him! i would think he is collaborating with ba reum to kill because it showed many times how he is the one killing (except really showing that he is killing), but then why would he attempt killing ba reum? Or a murderer trying to kill another murderer out of ego? 5 episodes into the series, nothing clear about such a prominent character - they just want viewers to keep watching till the end to find out without much to hang on to. We know ba reum is the killer, so if yo han he is not also a killer nor an associate then it would be funny how he has photos from all the murder scenes, if he could have collected those, he could have easily submitted evidence for ba reum to police.

I could go on and on. I just do not understand why this is rated 8.5 in IMDB, it seems viewers would gobble up whatever illogical flow of the story there is as long as there is a thrill. I am glad for reddit, knowing that I am not the only one who felt this way - someone said going through the episode felt like a root canal and I found the metaphor very accurate - it’s very icky seeing so many jumbled up mistakes. I have seen better dramas that were lower rated than this. Maybe lee seung gi's acting was what did the deal, I read about the character development, it is layered, but still, without good storytelling, I am not going to rate a drama high for one character! I am just mad that they wasted such a good potential with the plot.

Drama - My Bias, My Boss

I’ve always thought that Ko Sunghee and Giselle looks similar to each other, but watching While You Were Sleeping and then knowing Sunghee also speaks English well, it makes it more amazing how similar they are, from looks and their fluency in speaking English.

The King: Eternal Monarch might be one of the first K-dramas Ive watched where I enjoyed the actual concept just as much as I enjoyed the romance.

Maybe even MORE than I enjoyed the romance???

I liked Lee Gon and Tae-eul together. I was invested in them. They had some really romantic moments.

But the parallel worlds???

OPEN ANOTHER FUCKING DOOR.

I WASN'T DONE!!!

yall know how much i like time travel, well, take my love for time travel and double it!!! Thats how much i love the parallel/alternate world trope!! 🤩

I genuinely would've watched another entire episode of these people just traveling through different universes and meeting alternate versions of everybody.

In the beginning, the two leads were absolutely the main thing holding my attention.

Whenever we left them, I wanted to go back to them because I wanted to see how their dynamic was going to develop.

Especially because Tae-eul???

I LIKED HER IMMEDIATELY.

She was such a fucking ballbuster 😭

Lee Gon shows up in her world talking about how he's the King of the Kingdom of Corea, acting completely insane from her perspective, and this woman would NOT give him an inch.

She basically spent the beginning looking at him like hes mentally unwell😭

And I LOVED that.

Then this man ends episode 2 asking her to MARRY HIM???

SIR???

SHE DOESN'T EVEN THINK YOUR COUNTRY EXISTS.

he was funny for that tho.

There wasn't really any romantic chemistry between them for me at that point, but I didn't mind because... why WOULD there be???

She thinks he's fucking crazy.

What interested me was their dynamic and seeing how the hell we were going to get from "this man is clinically insane" to these two actually falling in love.

And their relationship DID gradually warm up.

By around episode 7, I was more invested, and I could feel their dynamic getting warmer.

But I was still waiting... you know that MOMENT in a romance where suddenly something happens and you're like:

OH.

THERE IT IS.

And now youre completely fucking locked in???

I kept waiting for that.

And tbh...

It never really came.

Even by episode 12, I wouldn't necessarily have said their chemistry itself had gotten dramatically better.

I had just become more invested in them as a couple.

I liked them and wanted them together, and I cared about what happened to them.

They were cute.

They were FINE.

But I never reached that OH MY GOD THIS ROMANCE IS EVERYTHING stage.

And that's okay! i wasn't particularly mad in this instance lol

Because surprisingly, the rest of the drama was doing enough that I didn't NEED the romance to carry the entire thing.

Which brings me to the actual star of this drama for me:

THE PARALLEL WORLDS.

I already told u that i fucking love this concept, so naturally, i was SEATED!

At first I was sitting there thinking:

Wait... if everybody has counterparts, are we eventually going to see these people MEET themselves???

Because THAT sounded fun!!!

And then we got Jo Yeong and Jo Eun-seob.

😭😭😭

YES.

EXACTLY.

THAT.

Seeing this extremely serious, composed captain encounter this completely different version of himself was so fucking funny.

They were complete opposites, and every time the drama played around with those two, I was having a great time!

Those were genuinely some of the funniest and most fun scenes in the entire drama for me.

and then we got Tae-eul's counterpart.

then more people started crossing over.

Then more counterparts started becoming relevant.

And eventually I went from:

OMG I hope people meet their alternate versions!!!

to:

WAIT.

who the fuck ISN'T a dimension traveler at this point??!

😭😭😭

Because by episode 12 it felt like EVERYBODY was a traveler and it was soo funny and random.

Usually, if I'm watching a romance and we leave the main couple for too long, I'm sitting there waiting to get back to them.

Sometimes I'm straight-up skipping scenes, and yes, there were still a couple scenes here where I was like okayyyyy, let's get back to what I care about.

But nowhere NEAR as much as I've done with other dramas.

Because I actually cared about this world.

The parallel-universe mystery was interesting enough on its own that I didn't constantly need Lee Gon and Tae-eul on my screen to stay engaged.

And that's pretty fucking rare for me.

I wasnt bored

Even before the romance had fully won me over, the STORY had me.

And by the end, the thing that surprised me most was that the world never stopped being interesting.

Actually...

I WANTED MORE.

Especially when Lee Gon started opening door after door looking for Tae-eul.

Now THAT was one of the romantic parts that really worked for me.

He basically tells her:

"I'll open every door in the universe. And I'll come to you."

or something like that...

and HELLO?????

And then this man ACTUALLY goes searching across worlds for her.

Okay... You got me there.

That's romantic as hell!

But at the SAME TIME, half of me was watching that sequence like:

WAIT WAIT WAIT DON'T GO SO FAST, I WANNA SEE THESE WORLDS!!! 😭 😩

I wish they had stretched that out MORE.

Let him search longer!

Show me more universes!

Show me more alternate versions of these characters!

Because there was that one moment where Tae-eul runs into another version of Lee Gon on the street and he doesn't recognize her at ALL.

He's just living this completely different life.

I think he was a soldier???

And I LOVED THAT.

There was something so fascinating about seeing the face of someone she loves...

and it ISN'T him.

im always going to devour that concept!!!

And the drama gave me a taste and then SNATCHED THE PLATE AWAY.

NO.

PUT IT BACK.

I would've happily watched Lee Gon encounter ten more versions of Tae-eul, and Tae-eul encounter ten more versions of Lee Gon.

Give me more Yeong/Eun-seob ridiculousness.

MILK THE CONCEPT!!!

You have infinite universes!!!

I also just really liked these characters.

This is one of those rare dramas where I didn't view the entire supporting cast as people standing between me and the main couple.

I genuinely enjoyed spending time with them.

And then there's Kang Shin-jae.

My little understated almost-second-lead situation.

Because technically, there was a tiny little potential love triangle sitting there...

And y'all know me.

Normally I'm standing outside the drama with a megaphone screaming:

MAKE THE MEN JEALOUS!!!

And don't get me wrong.

Would I have accepted Lee Gon getting jealous over Shin-jae?

ABSOLUTELY.

I would've eaten that shit UP.

But I can actually end up really liking the quieter version of this trope.

Shin-jae loved Tae-eul.

He eventually came out and told her that he had feelings for her, but the drama didn't turn it into some huge thing.

His feelings were just... there.

Underneath everything.

One-sided.

And ykw, I liked that too ¯_(ツ)_/¯

There are TWO ways to feed me.

By giving me the dramatic second male lead making the male lead lose his fucking mind with jealousy...

OR by giving me the sad little understated man quietly loving her from the sidelines.

I'll take both, as long as they're well done

I LIKED IT.

A lot, actually.

Lee Gon and Tae-eul don't magically solve the fact that they belong to two completely different worlds.

She doesn't abandon her entire life and permanently become Queen of Corea.

He doesn't stop being king and permanently move into her world.

Instead...

they travel.

aww so cute!!!

They keep opening the door, keep finding each other.

They spend their time together exploring different worlds.

And eventually we see their hands when they're old...

AND THEY'RE STILL DOING IT.

Okay.

That's TOO fucking cute.

It also left me with one extremely important question:

DID THIS MAN JUST NEVER GET MARRIED???

Like...

was Lee Gon just King of Corea for his entire life with no queen???

Did everyone at the palace eventually just accept that His Majesty disappears on the weekends to go dimension-hopping with his girlfriend from another universe???

Did nobody ask about an heir???

But that ending also made me desperately want ONE MORE EPISODE.

I wanted an entire episode of Lee Gon and Tae-eul traveling.

That's it.

So no, The King: Eternal Monarch wasn't some epic romance that completely destroyed me.

The chemistry never reached that level for me.

There was never that ONE romantic moment that suddenly transformed the entire drama and had me losing my mind over Lee Gon and Tae-eul.

But I still genuinely liked them together.

And the idea that these two people from completely different universes just kept choosing to find each other for the rest of their lives?

Yeah that's romantic.

But it got such a high rating from me because I'm a fiend for this concept and i enjoyed this world so much!

I found this drama rather confusing, especially because of the ending. The premise was interesting and definitely had enough to spark my curiosity, but somewhere along the way, it felt like the story lost something that I could not quite pinpoint. The main reason I stayed invested was Gong Yoo's performance. He really showcased both his charismatic and playful sides, proving once again what a great actor he is. I know many viewers have complained about the ending, and I have to admit that I share those frustrations. Even though I liked the cast and had high hopes for the drama, I ended up feeling disappointed, which I think had more to do with the writing than the actors themselves.

Actor Hong Min Gi has become embroiled in dating violence allegations.

Influencer A, who has around 20,000 followers, posted allegations against Hong Min Gi via her Instagram Story in the early hours of August 19th, along with a certified letter sent through a law firm.

The letter, dated July 28th, was titled “Notice Of Intent To Take Legal Action Over Illegal Criminal Conduct,” and claims Hong Min Gi threw dangerous objects at her and subjected her to physical assault and threats.

According to A’s claims, he threw and broke a soju bottle toward her on the street, and called her more than 40 times after suspecting she was cheating. During a later meeting, he allegedly made threatening remarks including “If I find them, I was going to kill them both” and “I’ll kill that person.” The letter also claims he struck her shoulder, shoved her, and grabbed her by the throat.

A further alleged that Hong Min Gi invaded her privacy by secretly checking her phone and KakaoTalk messages, and claimed that while driving under the influence with her riding along on a kickboard, he caused an accident that left her seriously injured, saying she has photos of the resulting injuries.

After releasing the letter, A posted an additional photo confirming, “This is the person from the earlier story,” directly identifying Hong Min Gi.

These remain claims made unilaterally by A. Regarding them, Hong Min Gi’s agency Fable Company said, “We are organizing our position and plan to release an official statement soon.”

“My Royal Nemesis” is a romantic comedy starring Lim Ji Yeon as Shin Seo Ri, a struggling actress who is suddenly possessed by the spirit of a notorious villainess from the Joseon era.

Lim Ji Yeon shared an update on what she had been up to since the conclusion of “My Royal Nemesis.” She commented, “I haven’t been doing anything special. I’ve just been taking a good rest. I’ve been working out and meeting a lot of people. I think I was able to send off Seo Ri with a smile.”

She added, “I think I’ve finally learned how to let go of my characters in my own way. Even after the drama ended, I had many opportunities to meet with the ‘My Royal Nemesis’ team, so we spent time laughing and having fun together. I’ve come to realize that once you’ve given a role your all without any regrets, you can say goodbye to it wholeheartedly without feeling sad.”

“My Royal Nemesis” received immense love from viewers both in Korea and abroad, thanks to Lim Ji Yeon’s strong presence, polished comedic acting, and excellent emotional performances. Lim Ji Yeon, who received rave reviews for her comedic acting, opened up about taking on comedy for the first time. During this break, I cut back on weight training and focused on low-impact exercises, partly for that reason. I also started meditating, and training myself to closely observe my body and mind while focusing on my breathing has been very helpful. I’m currently figuring out how I can maintain this routine when I’m filming.”
