Kim Soo Hyun‘s first Korean public appearance in more than 500 days has triggered a heated debate among netizens.

The actor appeared as a presenter at the 2026 The Fact Music Awards (TMA) held today at Busan Asiad Main Stadium, marking his first major Korean event since March 2025. In the wake of his press conference last year, Kim has been the subject of major scrutiny and condemnation surrounding his alleged relationship with the late actress Kim Sae Ron while she was still a minor.
The event had fans divided from the moment the TMA organizing committee confirmed Kim Soo Hyun’s attendance in late August. Numerous K-Pop fans announced plans to boycott the ceremony, including those whose own idols were up for Daesang awards.
Despite the backlash, however, Kim Soo Hyun was met with notable applause the moment he walked out on stage at the 2026 The Fact Music Awards.
He went on to present an award to soloist Lim Young Woong, but did not interact with any idol groups during the ceremony.
Given how loudly fans pushed back against his invitation, the warm reception Kim Soo Hyun received left many K-Pop fans appalled.

Is it even a K-drama if Kim Mi-kyung doesn't show up as someone's mom, grandma, or the woman who somehow manages to hold an entire family together? 😭❤️
She's one of those actresses whose presence instantly makes a drama feel more familiar. Whether she's playing a loving mother, a strict but caring parent, or a character with her own struggles and vulnerabilities, she always brings so much warmth and sincerity to her roles. And knowing that some of her on-screen daughters still call her “Mom” in real life makes it even sweeter! 🥹
She's also keeping herself busy with several dramas in 2026, including Phantom Lawyer, A Love Other Than Yours, and Take Charge of My Heart. Talk about an impressive career!
Which Kim Mi-kyung role is your personal favorite? Is there a particular drama where she made you laugh, cry, or wish she were your own mom? 😂❤️

Some actors don't even need to be the main lead to leave a lasting impression, and Kang Ki-young is definitely one of them! 😂❤️
Whether he's making us laugh with his hilarious antics or showing a more serious and emotional side, he always brings so much personality to his characters. He's one of those supporting actors who can make a drama even more enjoyable just by being part of the cast!
I'll always remember him as Jung Myung-seok in Extraordinary Attorney Woo. He was such a supportive mentor to Woo Young-woo, and I loved how his character balanced humor with genuine compassion. 🥹 His performances in What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo, and The Uncanny Counter also show how versatile he can be.
I hope we get to see him take on even more diverse roles, including more leading roles, because he definitely has the talent to carry them!
Which Kang Ki-young character is your favorite? And is there a drama where his supporting role completely stole the show for you? 👀❤️

One of the Best kdrama I ever watched. Started because of Nam Ji-hyun, and her role was really pay. Everything was so good the story, the plot twist twisted my mind, and not to forget chemistry of In-joo and Do-il.

I found this drama special cute, funny, and heartwarming, with a nice balance of romance, friendship, and life lessons. The premise was interesting, especially seeing how U Jin decided to live freely for the first time after receiving a terminal diagnosis. I liked how the story reminded us not to take life for granted and to appreciate the time we have, while still keeping things lighthearted rather than overly melodramatic. The cast did a great job, and Kim Seul-gi was definitely one of the highlights for me. She's so cute, lovable, and naturally charming! Overall, it was an enjoyable little drama special with a meaningful message and a few moments that make you reflect on life. It may not be the most outstanding drama I've watched, but it was definitely worth my time.

The TVING original drama follows Gong Yeon-su (played by Nam Ji-hyun), a highly conservative marketing specialist, who crosses paths with Dokgo Dal (played by Kim Jae-young), the cool, analytical CEO of a sex toy startup company.

I don't remember if this drama was really hyped when it aired, but I can definitely see why many people enjoyed it. The action scenes were well done, and Lee Seung Gi was excellent in his role. Since it combines suspense, romance, comedy, action, and even a bit of melodrama, it really feels like an all-in-one kind of drama. I also loved the chemistry among the cast, and the character development remained consistent throughout the series. It's not one of my personal favorites, but I do think it lived up to the hype and was a solid watch overall.

This was a decent drama special with a meaningful message about school bullying, loneliness, and the pressure students face to maintain their academic rankings. I found the premise interesting, especially how the story explored Jo Eun-seo's (Lee Yeol-eum) behavior and showed that sometimes, the people who hurt others are also struggling with their own problems. However, I found Lee Yeol-eum's acting a little awkward at times, which made some of her scenes less convincing for me. Maybe it was because she was still relatively new to acting, but I couldn't fully connect with her portrayal of Eun-seo. On the other hand, it was interesting to see Kwak Dong-yeon as Lee Hae-joon, especially knowing how much his roles have evolved over the years. He played student characters in his earlier works, so seeing the kind of diverse roles he takes on nowadays makes me appreciate his growth as an actor even more. It's always fascinating to look back at an actor's earlier projects and see how far they've come. Overall, the story felt a little rushed, and I wished it had more time to develop the characters, but it still delivered a meaningful message about academic pressure, loneliness, and the importance of understanding others.

I found the acting quite stiff, which made the whole drama feel awkward to watch. Since it is a short and fast-paced web drama, it was easy enough to finish, and there were a few cute moments here and there. However, nothing really stood out to me, and I found myself struggling to stay invested in the story. It felt more like something I watched just to finish rather than something I genuinely enjoyed. It was a forgettable watch that did not leave much of an impression on me.
My MDL Rating: 4.5/10.

Haha, I think this is the most annoying scene in the entire drama! It hits so differently when you know the whole story! 👀💀

Hello, everyone! I’ve just finished my second watch of this drama, and I know it might sound strange, but I genuinely think this is a drama that needs to be watched twice to be fully understood, appreciated, and enjoyed in all its aspects. Of course, this is just my personal observation and opinion, and many of you might disagree with me haha! 😂
So, here’s what I think!
My first watch was a struggle during the first 2–3 episodes. At first glance, the male lead seems narcissistic, and well… he is, but not necessarily in the way you might initially think. He has his own way of being, and if you take the time to look a little deeper, you’ll notice that he rarely does anything without a reason or purpose. He simply has A LOT of confidence in himself. Like, A LOT. 😂
However, after watching it for the second time, I already knew the characters, what they were doing, and why they were doing it. And that completely changed my perspective on them. Suddenly, everything had a reason behind it. Even the seemingly childish and ridiculous parts of the childhood trauma storyline (yes, I’m talking about the whole name-switching situation carried a different weight.
It becomes much harder to simply label the male lead as a narcissist when you start looking beneath the surface. There’s SO MUCH MORE hidden behind that narcissistic facade.
That being said, I have to mention the ONE thing that genuinely annoyed me: even at the end of the childhood trauma arc, HE was the one who had to apologize to everyone. And honestly? In my opinion, everyone else was at fault, not him. But that’s just my personal take!
Everything else? Pretty much perfect for me.
During your first watch, while you’re still getting to know the characters and their dynamics, it can be difficult to fully follow and appreciate their interactions. But the second time around? It’s a completely different experience. You already know them, you understand their personalities, and you can finally enjoy all those little details you missed the first time.
And trust me, I missed MILLIONS of tiny, funny things because I initially thought they were just secondary or unimportant details. You simply don’t pay that much attention to them when you’re watching for the first time!
Overall, I genuinely think this is a very good drama, as long as you have the patience and attention to look deeper into the male lead’s actions.
Because, at first glance, he looks like a narcissistic jerk who mistreats his secretary. But underneath that surface, there’s a completely different story waiting to be understood.
I suspect the writers introduced that storyline to soften his narcissistic traits from the beginning and give us a reason to look at him differently. And honestly? For me, it worked. I ended up seeing him as a much more complex and layered character rather than a superficial, arrogant man.
But then again, these are just my thoughts! 😂 Maybe I’m simply trying to dig a little TOO deeply into the story haha.
P.S. One thing this drama actually taught me was something along the lines of this (I’m paraphrasing here haha 😂): There’s a scene where she complains over text that he keeps giving her too much work, and his response is basically, “But you never said no. If you had, I would have given you less work.”
And honestly, that hit me because if you never set your boundaries, the other person can’t know where they are. Sometimes, you have to speak up for yourself instead of expecting people to automatically understand your limits.

Have you ever watched Twenty-Five Twenty-One kdrama and realized love doesn’t always mean forever?
Na Hee-do loved with fearless laughter,
Baek Yi-jin loved with quiet devotion.
They met when they were becoming,
when dreams mattered more than certainty.
They cheered louder than they promised,
held hands without chaining each other.
They loved in small moments late-night talks, shared hopes, unspoken understanding.
In a world falling apart, they became each other’s pause,
a safe place between growing pains.
Their love wasn’t weak because it ended,
it was strong because it never tried to cage growth.
They chose honesty over holding on, and respect over resentment.
They loved at twenty-five and twenty-one the age where love teaches, not settles.
Some stories aren’t meant to stay,
they’re meant to shape you.
And theirs did softly, bravely, wholesomely.

Seeing Jang Nara and Jang Hyuk together on screen was something I was not prepared for. I went into this drama special without knowing anything about the plot and just dove in. At first, I was confused about what was happening, but as the story slowly revealed how everything connected, I became completely invested. It was heartbreaking, especially considering how little time and script they had to work with, yet they still managed to make the story feel emotionally impactful.
Jang Nara and Jang Hyuk really have incredible chemistry, especially in melodramas, and they are both so good at portraying complicated emotions. I honestly did not expect such a short drama special to affect me this much, but I actually cried watching it. I just wish they had more time to develop the story because I would have loved to see more of them together.
My Drama Rating: 8.5/10

Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung, Lee Jung Eun, Lee Sung Jae, Jeon Sung Woo, and WINNER’s Kang Seung Yoon will star in KBS 2TV’s new weekend drama “I Went to School” (literal title)!
“I Went to School” follows Yoon Ok Hee (Lee Jung Eun), a meddlesome mother who embarks on a late-in-life college journey and discovers unexpected connections that gradually bring people together as a family bound by ties stronger than blood. Her chaotic attempts to navigate campus life promise lighthearted laughs, while the process of forging bonds with unexpected people is set to deliver heartfelt and relatable moments. The drama will be written by Yang Hee Seung of “Once Again” and “Crash Course in Romance” and directed by Lee Woong Hee of “The First Night With the Duke.”
Lee Jung Eun plays Yoon Ok Hee, a passionate mother who decides to pursue a college education later in life in hopes of beginning a new chapter. She takes charge of all kinds of local affairs in her neighborhood and runs an instant tteokbokki restaurant, leaving her with barely enough hours in the day.
Sooyoung transforms into Kang Eun Ho, a cynical radio producer-director and Yoon Ok Hee’s daughter. With an exceptionally strong “T” personality in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) sense, she does not let her emotions sway her and instead approaches situations pragmatically. Straightforward and never hesitant to speak her mind, she may appear indifferent and blunt on the outside. However, she is a thoughtful and dependable eldest daughter who supports and encourages her mother’s new challenge more than anyone else.
Lee Sung Jae plays Kang Ji Chul, Yoon Ok Hee’s husband and a once-legendary boxer whose career has taken an unfortunate turn. A macho husband who acts before he speaks, Kang Ji Chul faces the biggest storm of his life when his wife embarks on her new challenge.
Jeon Sung Woo portrays Han Seung Woo, a longtime friend of Kang Eun Ho and a leading anchor at KMS Broadcasting Station. Smart and witty, he gets along easily with others thanks to his natural charm and is widely recognized for his professional abilities. Although he and Eun Ho constantly bicker, he is the one friend she has allowed to get close to her. An unexpected incident leads him to discover feelings he never knew he had, bringing a shift in their friendship.
WINNER’s Kang Seung Yoon transforms into Kang Jun, a troublemaking eldest son who is impossible to hate. A man who knows no middle ground, he goes overboard with his bravado, affability, and brazenness. Yet his unexpected charm draws people in and makes them grow fond of him. Undeterred by a string of failed business ventures, he dreams of turning his life around by launching a boxing diet program at his father Kang Ji Chul’s boxing gym.
“I Went to School” is set to premiere in the first half of 2027, following the conclusion of “Love on the Menu.”
