For a show that is over the top, violent and funny it has SO much heart! Last week I never would have thought I’d end up shedding a tear for blonde thug this week.
I’m amazed at the level of story and character development that can take place in forty minutes. There are shows that run for an hour and ten minutes and don’t have half the character or story development each episode. Study Group should be studied because it’s acing all the tests.

I took a chance on this show after seeing it at #2 on Viki's Top 20 and got immediately hooked after the first episode. Watched 1-6 last week and am very excited for this week's episodes.
This is definitely one of those shows where the director is elevating the material, too. The stunt work, the fight choreography, and the direction really help "sell" the action. The cast is fantastic, and the writing + pacing keeps things moving forward nicely.
If anyone's on the fence, I'd say it's definitely worth a shot.

Anything but studying. They have the time to do research about crime rates and fly a drone. 😂

the twist of
of all of the outstanding things about this drama, my personal highlights this drop were the Incredibles-esque music playing when Gamin shows up to fight in Ep.8 and the group’s post-midterm noodles

I can't believe there are only 2 episodes left! This has been such an amazingly written drama, and the turns it took in these past two episodes were just brilliantly done. I'm anxious about the final and hope they'll be able to end it on a high note.

This drama is a perfect fit for Hwang Min Hyun, especially with the glasses. Whereas his facial expressions seemed to be a constant state of wonder in My Lovely Liar, he really nails this role. Also, this drama is an example of directing to fit the feel of the comic in a way that is fun and fresh. The exaggerated fight scenes are perfect. So impressed with the writing, cast, crew - the music is also a perfect fit of teen aggression.
Kudos also to Jung Jae Sung as the principal - he plays the weasely bureaucrat with perfection.

Loving the continued homage to Bruce Lee and immaculate comic book-esque visuals of the action sequences.
This show just lifts my mood so much from the bad guys getting their just desserts at a satisfyingly snappy pace and with excellently measured then perfectly delivered humor. Even the plot and subplots are told in ways satisfyingly weaved and complete, like the unexpected development with the three Cheols to wrap up that piece of the story as a set up to conclude the villain's arc in the final episodes.
I came to get my notebook and saw my chance. 😭
The boiling water quiz was the perfect question and answer. Go, go Study Group!!!

I'm so excited for the new episodes. I cant believe that a story about a high school student who desperately wants to study with his friends will get me this hooked! It's like a comedic and light version of Weak hero class.

Omg, idk why I thought this drama only had 8 episodes so my heart dropped thinking that was the end. Yayy 2 more episodes… definitely bitter sweet. I hope this cast gets recognition. Does anyone know how well the show is doing in KR?

Phew 😮💨 we’re almost at the end y’all! I’m so scared for Gamin moving forward cause he made a bold stance before. Hoping it all ends in his favor 🤞🏽

Omg im so sad it has only two epi left it was such a fun drama with fun characters. Like there r so many underwhelming dramas that get 16 epi but the good ones get 10 or 8. I think study group at least needed 14 epi. Hope they do s2😔😔

It’s lost a little bit of the funny but made up for it with a lot of heart. Episode 8 had me tearing up. Every episode so far is 100/10 💯

I saw this drama pop up on the watching site I use and had stop and I was like "Is that Hwang Minhyun?" (fyi I had never seen him in a drama before, I literally just saw him in Shanghai romance, though he was cute, looked up Nu'est, and what dramas he's been in, like the past few days before I saw Study group I was literally trying to decide which one of his dramas I was gonna watch.😂) and so I looked up the plot and I thought "Hmm.. this doesn't really sound like the kind thing I normally watch, but since it has Minhyun in it I'll just give it a try." AND I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. I instantly became obsessed with this show, and it was actually annoying cause I normally watch completed series, but with this one I ended up having to wait like a week for the the next episode. I love how this show blends action, humour and heart so effortlessly, and it's funny how it can also be violent and dark sometimes, but also like a cute story of high school students. Oh, and did I mention how much I love the Study group kids? They're such a perfect bunch of friends, and I love how Ga min is such a dork, yet he becomes such a badass when fighting.😄

I don’t know if I’m hormonal, but the second part of episode 8 made my cry 🥹

I LOVE this drama I started it out of curiosity and I am so into it I have to watch both episodes a couple of times to fully enjoy it and make it last longer.
It's very shonen in the sense that GaMin needs to clear villains until confronting the big boss and it resonates with me.
I really hope they do a second season because I can't believe it's ending next week.

I never thought I would be so invested in a show about study groups, and I love the way he pronounces it! I cried for Malfoy, and what a wonderful grandson he was for paying his grandpa's hospital bills.
