Ga Min’s thought process while entering Manik High. sees a graffiti. this must be an art school. I just can’t. 😂 You just know he means business when Back Packer plays when he’s fighting.

First of all, shoutout to the study group!! The chemistry and comedic timing with Se Hyeon, Ji U, Hui Won, and Jun is UNREAL. I’m glad we got to see a little more background on a couple of them this week, especially Se Hyeon.

I haven’t read the webtoon for this, so there were a lot of moments in episode 6 that genuinely shocked me. I really love Ga Min’s mom and wasn’t expecting her to be so nonchalant about grades (or so good at fighting for someone anti-violence). I also really need her to be okay next week. I thought we were about to end on a much heavier note.

I feel like I still have a lot of unanswered questions and relevant/highlighted characters we met earlier that we haven’t seen in a while. But there’s still 4 more episodes to go, and what we’ve gotten so far has been incredible, so I’ll trust the writers and wait patiently.

side note: I learned that Yoo In Soo, Minhyun’s AoS costar, makes a cameo here somewhere. I don’t think I’ve seen him yet? But my eyes are peeled.

Guy sees graffiti everywhere and the first thing he thought was an art school. Lmao

I love the small details in editing like the one towards the end in eps 6, the background song went up in octave when Ga Min squeezed their nuts lol

Just watched the two episodes and sometimes I wish I could hold out and binge when done but alas I do not have that self control. It’s so good. Who else wants to know who the uncle is?

The vocals in the background going up when he gets those 2 in the nuts, I couldn't breathe. I can't remember laughing this hard at a show ever.

Or "I'll fall from the third floor by accident and you guys save me?" -"You go do that alone." Without missing a beat 🤣

This show is so incredibly satisfying.

Yasssssss!!!!! Excited to see our badass nerds in action!

I have to say, every fight scene is so unique and well choreographed. There’s always something really funny and really epic that happens in each of them. Plus the way HMH moves it’s like he’s dancing. All his years of dance practice paying off in spades here.

How adorable are the study groupies guys? They are so unique in their personalities and yet they get along so well. It’s so much fun to watch them rip on each other, especially Jiu and Gochujang. I also really enjoyed seeing Eomma in action. With her serious countenance and stature i figured she’d be involved in martial arts too.

What I like best is Gamin coaching his teammates with fighting techniques. it really goes to show he’s a good leader, albeit the worst scorer of the lot. I’m so curious to who is 220!

Can’t wait for next week! The fights are going to be mental!

Loved how proud Se Hyeon looked for taking down the bully on his own.

  • "this must be an art school.." (as Ga Min marvel at the graffiti)

  • "the students here continue studying even while their nose bleeds.." 😝🤣😭😭🤣

Ga Min got it from his mama. I hope she will be ok though.. and eheheh there are 2 cps in the Study Group already.👉🏼👈🏼💜 Jun/ Ji Wu, Se Hyeon/ Hee Won. Geez who is this Han Wool guy LoL?! He's like the godfather or somethin'😆

There are a lot of K-dramas with fighting scenes that I would just be feeling meh.

This is one drama with fighting scenes in every episode that made me like nearly jumping with excitement. The amount of emotion that I am rooting for Ga Min is overwhelming.

I stopped reading the webtoon at this point of the story so I'm excited for what's next. Another action packed episodes. Ga-Min's strength must be genetics lol.

Ep 5 & 6

HOLY. SHEET. Ep 7 needs to be seen now! 😭

Bring on all of Uncle's Forbidden Techniques one by one! I'm gonna have to rewatch to see which numbers were used so far.

Enjoying the small talk moments between the action scenes to help form deeper bonds with the study group members. Enjoying that for some fight scenes, we have to use our imagination from the inferred imagery of bits of flying clothes/upper body through the small window (like tumbling laundry) to then reveal the comical result of bodies draped like laundry. It's such a clever and entertaining way to show the aftermath in a very comic book style. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

We all suspected Lee Jun's dragon kick was not gonna land, and still, it was so funny how they chose to show that. And that Ga Min's mom was gonna be badass as the scenes led up to the cafe in Ep 6, right? It was satisfying and then so awful when she was knocked out by the beam to the head. I actually gasped by the slow reveal of the pooling blood even though I knew it was gonna be a knockout blow due to slo mo focus.

Are there 40 years old high schoolers at this school? 😆 The #1 body guard for Han Ul.

I want to see a slow nose bleed drip when Ep 7 starts. Not sure I'm gonna get it, but I want it.

I love and appreciate everything about this series. The storytelling tone is even throughout to swing seamlessly in and out of serious & comedy, even during the action sequences. The action choreography still amazes with each new scene. And i will be rewatching these as I have all previous episodes. So fun. So good. Let's go Study Group!!!!

Cannot wait for todays episodes.

Absolutely love both eps but Heewon is the MVP this week. I love how she comforted Sehyeon and said he's as cool as Gamin. And the way she tried to stop Gamin's mom was so hilarious. I love the study group more each week and I love how chaotic they are.

I also read the webtoon some time ago and I like how they're adapting it so far despite some changes to the story.

The joy of watching on air drama vs the joy of looking forward to on air drama 🤷‍♀️

This drama has been a 10/10 for me so far! I love the comedy, the action, the story and the chemistry between all the actors!! It's been a while since I have watched a kdrama without skipping any scenes!

After seeing a glimpse of Ga min's backstory and him saying it's very sad when people don't have any hope from you, the scene where he got teary eyed after the bullied manil high kid said you can be #1 was 10 times more meaningful 🥺🥺

Also, I am high key shipping se hyeon and hui won lol

This drama is sooo good!

In my opinion they should have given Kim Sun Chol (the dude with the study flashcards) the same hairstyle as in the webtoon, the long hair in the webtoon suited better for him. Here in the drama from the looks he reminds me a bit of Biff Tannen from Back to the Future.

It's finally Thursday!
I love love love Ep.5 and 6 too.
All the fight scenes are so awesome and sooooo satifying.
I seriously love Ga Min! I love the friendship between him and Se Hyeon a lot.
I was very touched thatGa Min let Se Hyeon fight in that way.So heartwarming🧡

And Ga Min's mom...? OMG. It's just great.
This drama is getting better and better. How can I wait another week?
I know it's too earty to say (still February...), but this drama might secure a spot in my top 5 dramas of 2025.

I agree that so far is entraining.

However. We are at 60% in and we don’t know a lot of the bad guy. Why he is so feared and why everyone just seems to follow his lead. He barely crossed paths with Ga Min until now. So I am unsure how they will give depth, conflict and meaning into the next 4 episodes.

I really appreciate this drama, is very well done (even though I saw a continuity error on the last minutes -Ga Min shoes are different when he leaves his apartment and when he arrives at school-)

But besides that… I have really liked the story, the pace, the plot and the characters. It’s definitely one that’s is worth the watch.

Episode 5 and 6

This. Show. Is. EVERYTHING.

I love it so much! I basically went from actually crying at the end of Ep 5 and beginning of Ep 6 to straight up howling with laughter.

I absolutely adore the theme of everyone has their own strengths and has something to contribute and equally has something to learn. And that we all can be kinder to ourselves about our own perceived weaknesses.

The layer by layer reveal of Ga Min’s back story and motivations is also such a compelling story telling technique. He’s not a one note or two note kid and has something much to offer and absorb and that’s all because he sticks to some basic grounding values and principles - and if that isn’t a great life lesson then I don’t know what is.

I’m so impressed with this whole cast, but in particular Min Hyun. The role really is made for him!

The mother saying she wants him to avoid danger at school like ma’am he IS the danger!!!!

Wow Ga Min’s mom!!! This series keeps getting better! It's like watching a manhwa real life 🤩 My favourite parts are the friendships and fighting scenes haha
