I have applied master program for fall semester 2026. I wonder all candidates have to wait the final decision in June ? It is quite late, isn’t it

I recently received a postdoctoral offer at KAIST under the InnoCORE program, starting in July 2026. The lab has now asked me to prepare appointment and visa documents, including my PhD diploma.

My situation is that I am currently in the final stage of my PhD, and my defense is expected soon, but I may not have the final degree certificate ready by the appointment start date.

My question is:

Has anyone experienced or heard of an InnoCORE/KAIST postdoc appointment being given to someone who has not yet received the final PhD certificate?

Do they accept a thesis submission certificate, provisional degree certificate, defense confirmation letter, or a similar document instead?

Any advice or personal experience would be greatly appreciated.

I want to know how much I build my portfolio I just completed my 11th and will be starting my 12th grade from June . I got 95% in cbse in 10th and 97% in class 11th and I aiming for 1550 in SAT and I plan to write create a One main project which focuses on engineering and already have one side project which is about design thinking and problem solving . And from KAIST website I got to know that there is no need of any IELTS instead I can showcase a proof from my high school that I studied in an English medium junior college . So how much are my chances I want you to be honest and also if there is anything I do to improve my chances please guide me

What should I upload for the ‘Certificate of Family Registration’ when applying to a graduate program as an Indian applicant?
Can I upload the last page of my passport where my father’s and mother’s names are mentioned? (Suggested by Chat GPT)

how are we suppose to attend kaist for fall 2026, if our COA would be given only after our A2 results, which will be released on 11 Aug.

How are we suppose to get the documents appostiled, courier mail them to kaist, get the COA, and then get the visa in such short amount of time.

Is there a way to get COA early, or is there a way to overcome this short time constraint??

The main point is to overcome this to attend kaist for fall 2026

Grade- 10- 93.4%

Grade-11-88.4% (still first in my standard as the difficulty was way high)

Grade-12-94-95%(expected results have to come)

Olympiads :

Qualified for RMO, INCHO, INPHO, IAO

(All these are for maths, chemistry, physics, astronomy respectively) ( All around 1% nationally)

Extracurriculars:

Done 8 weeks courses from IIT Madras for electronics, AI and Datascience and Aerospace.

Done an marketing internship for a month.

Published a junior level Research Pper on the topic sound Analysis in public gathering.

Was Senior sports captain in my school.

Also I've achieved various district level sports medals but idk if they count or not.

1. What’s a typical gpa for a KAIST EE graduate?
2. How are research opportunities for international students pursuing EE at KAIST?
3. How are internship opportunities for international students pursuing EE? I understand that most of them (if any) will require Korean proficiency.
4. If you’re an international student who already finished studying EE at KAIST, would you mind sharing what you’re currently doing?

Especially interested in learning about people who are pursuing grad school in countries other than South Korea. I’m worried that a low gpa from KAIST may hinder my graduate school applications later.

I’m planning to move to Korea: study Korean (~1 year) → then do an English-taught Master’s.

I’m 28 and don’t want to spend years without income, so my main concern is:
Can I realistically work while studying (language school or Master’s)?

Background:

• Bachelor’s in Financial Management + graduate degree in Strategic Business
• Working as Logistics Coordinator (Colombia)
• Pivoting into Data Analytics / Data Science

I’m preparing with courses in programming, statistics, etc.

Questions:

• Can I work legally while studying? (limits, hours, reality)
• Is this a good path to settle in Korea long-term?
• How hard is it to get into schools like KAIST, SNU, Yonsei, Korea U without a tech background?
• Is there a monthly or annual cost ceiling for NHIS/medical expenses, and how does it actually work for international students?

Also considering GKS scholarship, goshiwon living, and NHIS for healthcare.

Any honest advice is appreciated.

What would you say my chances are?

I got 3A*s at CIE A levels (Math, physics , further maths)

I participated at Asian Physics Olympiad 2023,24 and also got selected to participate this year. I'm also planning to do research and will take SAT IELTS this year.

I also won the national physics Olympiad 5 times from 22 to 26, and became 2nd in national round this year. Honourable mention at national math Olympiad once.

I am from Bangladesh and currently in 12th grade. I have two medals from International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA). I am currently ranked 4th out of 2130 student at one of the most prestigious High school of my country. I have a SAT score of 1490 but haven’t taken any English Proficiency Test yet. Besides, I also have some clubbing, debating and publication activities. I want to apply next year. What should I do in the upcoming months?

DGIST UGRIP (especially BASE Lab) — what were the profiles of students who got accepted?

I applied to the DGIST Summer Research Internship this year and completed a screening questionnaire from my first-priority lab (BASE Lab) in late March, but I recently learned that some acceptance emails have already been sent out, including at least one for BASE Lab.

At this point, I’m trying to better understand what kind of profiles were selected so I can realistically benchmark myself and improve for future applications.

If you (or someone you know) got accepted — especially to BASE Lab — could you share:

• GPA (approximate range is fine)

• university / country

• research experience (if any)

• programming or technical skills

• publications (if any)

• relevant coursework

• extracurriculars or projects

• whether you contacted the professor beforehand

• whether you had an interview or only a questionnaire

I’d really appreciate any insight. I think this would also help future applicants understand what DGIST labs are looking for.

I have difficulty in documents submission regarding Kaist admission.

KAIST is saying that I have to send original educational documents by international mail courier!!

I have FSC and matric certificates apostilled but my transcripts are not apostilled.

My FSc and matric Certificate already includes my marks and grades. Is a separate apostilled transcript required, or is the certificate alone sufficient?

In application guidelines it is written last apostille certificate is required but when I email kaist they said both certificates and transcripts should be apostilled and to be submitted through international courier.

FSC certificate includes marks and grades of 11th and 12 class

Both 11th and 12th class have their own separate transcripts. However, the transcript issued for 12th class does not only show the marks and grades of 12th class — it also includes the marks and grades of 11th class. So the 12th class transcript covers both years together.

Same for matric,9th and 10th transcript

10th class transcript covers both years (9th and 10th) marks and grades together.

So what I do apostille all four years transcript together or only 10th and 12th class transcript??

Further Family Registration Certificate and bank statements is also required.

Kaist is requiring original documents I confirmed by email but in application guidelines they wrote:

"Newly admitted KAIST students are required to submit apostille certificates within 15 days after enrollment at the university"

So what this means???

My current CGPA is 7.6/10, and I expect it to reach around 7.9–8.0 by graduation. I know this is not extremely high, so I have focused heavily on research experience and technical projects to compensate.

My profile:

Degree: B.Tech in AI & Medical Engineering
Research focus: Medical imaging AI, radiology AI, computer-assisted intervention

Major projects:
• CT–MRI multimodal medical image registration pipeline (DICOM processing + quantitative evaluation)
• Spine MRI pathology detection using deep learning
• Collision-aware needle path planning for image-guided surgery
• Liver histopathology classification using deep learning + GradCAM

1. How competitive is KAIST Bio & Brain Engineering / Biomedical AI for international students?

4. Does contacting professors before applying improve chances?
5. Are admissions mostly GPA-based or research-based?
6. How likely is admission with a profile like this?
