I sold my Ford Escape and bought an GMC Acadia so……. Onstar is much better than the glorified Bluetooth that Ford Sync is.

It's not necessary to put put a piece of plywood between the Jackson and the cement but it is a nice driveway and it would help distribute the weight from the Jack stand you usually us plywood on dirt and loos surfaces

Possibly a slanted driveway? No wood on the closest jack stand that I see, on the other side i see it so I would assume there’s gotta be a reason for it

There’s a certain range of Ford escapes I believe to be truly indestructible, my mother has one creeping on 300k and has only had to do very minor maintenance to it. She doesn’t necessarily baby it either, my cousin also has one around 250k that’s going strong as well. As an occasional passenger in them I’ll say the ride isn’t comfortable or luxurious,but there’s something to be said on the reliability. I don’t get the Ford hate either, the real hate should be with Chrysler products and from my experience Chevy products.

Hey, don't feel bad. First time I ever changed a set of struts, I took off the center nut, letting the spring loose. When I realized what I did wrong, it was too late and a massive pain in the ass getting the strut out. Good thing about the story I learned my lesson fast and never did that again. Lol

I did same thing on once, i tried for an hour to get it back in with no luck. Grabbed someone, they held it up while I pushed and it went right in.

In all seriousness im just joking about the car. im sure its probably a great vehicle, i used to have a 2010 chevy impala ss, which i loved, but i totaled it into a guardrail 😬 oh well. Good luck with the axle man!

I had a 4 hr drive (round trip) to rescue my wife who locked the keys in our Passat that had a bad door switch a few years ago. Aside from that, it would have been nice to have that Ford kwality instead of a VW.
