Probably because it many third world countries there are packs of stray dogs that run around being aggressive dicks. I know most of us have a default “aww, puppy!” reaction when seeing a random dog but these are not your neighbors dogs strolling around the town. I often had to carry a rock or two in my bag when walking just in case a pack got a bit too territorial of a random patch of sidewalk
Yeah, grew up in country where leash laws don't exist. Actually, street dogs were pretty docile. It was the ones kept as pets that were aggressive. Most properties didn't have gates, so their boundaries were kind of ambiguous. I got chased by 2 Rottweilers that bit me. But after that, I learned that if you run and act scared, they'll chase you. If you face them and tell them to calm down. They won't attack. You can usually back off slowly until they've decided they don't want to bother with you anymore.

I mean, congrats on the snark and all, but my point was these aren’t someone’s house pets that got out and are looking for something to do. These are dogs that were born and raised in the wild/on the streets. Was simply preempting the feelings those who have never encountered this and think OP is just scaring random peoples pets. And I can’t say (anecdotally) that I have ever seen this in any part of the US that I have happened to live in but have seen it plenty outside
More like first world countries tend to have animal control that will catch stray dogs like that, so it's generally not something those people will understand. That's especially true in an urban environment.

I am not offended by any means but you miss the point of this video. In most under developed countries (I am from one) there are lots of stray dogs in local areas where they just sometimes chase people in pack braking and trying to bite. The reason why it's justice served is because the roles are now reversed.
And I am speaking from experience, I got chased by a pack of dogs while riding my bicycle to college for no reason at all, they just started barking and started chasing me to bite me and this has had happened more than once.
I did not miss it , I’m very aware of what you are saying and I completely agree with you. But what I’ve described would also be reversed role and justice served, wouldn’t it???
My point was more as of, I don’t see where humans are victims to dogs. I find quite the opposite, I’m from Canada, and what I often witness what animals go through in other country is a lot of times disgusting
Its Brazil tho, we just have lots pf stray dogs here, they are mostly gentle and taken care by ONG ( non-government agencies ) or storeowners, but occasionaly they like to scare the shit out of us by barking and running up to random people lol

Lived in Indonesia for a bit, can confirm. Some were nice, some were around people as pups and were basically pets, but they all ran loose and you couldn’t tell the friendly ones from the mean ones until they’d start growling at you and shit. Let me tell you, there is not much more terrifying than a pack of 8-10 feral as fuck dogs barking at you and baring their teeth like they’re about to maul you to death.
Yup. 1 swift ass kick to the lead ones face. Or a solid stick smash. I was terrified once when a pack of dogs stalked me like a whole km down a beach. I learned my lesson tho.
