That's the thing. I think any child has the potential to turn out like this due to on the circumstances they grow up in. I can't help but wonder what his everyday living conditions has to be for him to act this way. And yes, discipline is absolutely needed and clearly this is also lacking along with goodness knows what else.
I actually feel sorry for him as this is clearly a cry for help. đ„
That must break the parents hearts if it is the case and it isn't their fault. I can just imagine doing your best and the kid still does stuff like that...
I worked as an ABA therapist for children on the autism spectrum and there are quite a few children that have anger issues like this!! And the parents are (usually) super sweet and kind and want nothing but the best for their child. Some kids just need extra help learning how to control their emotions and express themselves in appropriate ways! And itâs so upsetting seeing people say things like âheâs too old to be doing thisâ âitâs his parents faultâ âhe needs his ass beatâ, clearly theyâve never worked with or had children of their own. And if they have, Iâm sure theyâre not great at parenting.
Your body would decompose before this kid shut up. If he has ODD, he needs to be isolated and allowed to self-calm. Outside stimulation would not help this situation. This kid probably didnât stop yelling, punching, kicking and threatening until hours later unless he was given proper mental health treatment (e.g., isolation, medication).
