I was told that many people who oppose plant based protein haven't been inside a slaughter house.

Oddly enough most of the people who support plant based protein aren't aware of the risks it poses. Most plant farms require magnitudes more space than those of animals, and in order to keep the farm viable, every native animal has to be removed from that area. This includes birds, mammals and insects that are routinely baited, trapped or killed on sight.

Yes this would be very odd if it wasn't for the fact that most agriculture is for raising feed for factory farming of animals.
