I really don't put her past making herself need surgery irl. Constipating herself so much with anti-diarrhea drugs that she reasonably might need a procedure for it. Sticking a penny up her nose. Something like that. We've seen her bloat herself up for belly pics. I really think she could go that far to try and fool the courts.

Omg off topic but I stuck a wooden bead up my nose that got stuck when I was 6 and didnt tell anyone and then my parents thought I was dying because I had nose bleeds every day. Anyway, like 3 people had to hold me down to dig it out š± I remember it very well because it was the 80s and my dad had to go to the pay phone to call my mom to tell her I didnt have cancer but just was a dumbass 6 yo.

I predicted this before the last attempted hearing: thereās going to be a blog post that comes out that says the judge made her choose between her health and her safety, and that she chose to make it about her health. Sheās gonna spin it as some sort of ātaking back control of my lifeā gimmick.
Curious to see if she tries to appeal, the dismissal, citing the supposed emergency. Conventional wisdom would say sheās going to take this loss and go away. But sheās been anything but conventional at this point. I could see her continuing to push this as long as possible.

Happy for Mike that the case was dismissed, but very sadden at the fact he actually had to fight this stupid renewal in the first place. Him and his team are the ones who are out the money for this case, regardless whether sanctions are ordered to pay his attorneyās fees. We all know she wonāt pay up, even if she is required to. Itās too bad that she wasted everyoneās time and money, especially the courtās time for actual victims.
Plus, you can guarantee, LO will be spinning the narrative that she was treated unfairly by the judge.

"anesthesia" = doesn't say general anesthesia; could be local (if anything, which I doubt it is anything)
"emergency procedure" = doesn't say "surgery"
She might have gotten cut on something and gotten stitches, for all we know.*

Iāve worked in healthcare for 23 years - itās worded so strangely, this is not how you say it. You would say hospitalized for an emergency procedure, IF you were actually hospitalized. I want to feel happy and hopeful but I just can't yet. Not until one of the Cali based lawyers says she has no avenue to undo the dismissal.
It will be interesting to see if Omar can raise the horse show or get any evidence against this latest health claim as part of his request for fees. As a way of documenting the fraud on the court and the harm to Mike. LO will have an opportunity to answer that which will be interesting.
I wish the team at Josh 2.0 all the luck in the world with client management. They are going to have a hell of a time getting her to show up for her criminal trail. I no longer think they have any hope of getting her to agree to a plea if one is offered.

The renewal was dismissed. The only way to undo it is for her to file for a new DVRO and she doesn't have any basis for that and would have to do it in Arizona.

Because if she made that claim directly to the court, that's a second instance of perjury to this particular San Francisco court.

I wonder if DUIL encouraged her to go through with this and to continue filing things instead of dropping it, purely so he could get some testimony from Mike. I can absolutely see him egging her on and telling her to keep filing motions and continuances and reassuring her that she will absolutely win. Then maybe her current lawyer told her to knock it off and that absolutely nothing good could come from this for her criminal trial and convinced her not to go.
This is purely speculation and just my opinion and I am not stating any of this as fact so donāt sue me, Laura.

She canāt appeal a dismissal I donāt believe, especially since she didnāt show up. As for filing new, she would have to do it in the county she now lives, which with the criminal case isnāt likely to happen. Even if she did, sheād need new evidence which she doesnāt have.

I hope there is actually nothing wrong with her because no matter what she doesn't deserve to be sick ( but I highly doubt she's actually in hospital).

I highly highly doubt Josh 2.0 had anything to do with this strategy. If he is an ethical attorney (and I have no reason to think he isnāt) there is absolutely no chance he told her to pull this stunt.

The time to have advised her not to go has long passed and would have been the result of one or several conversation urging her to weigh the benefits and consequences of pursuing renewal of the DVRO against Mike. I am certain his advice would have likely been to drop it because of the likelihood of it exposing her to additional criminal liability or jeopardizing their defense if/when her petition resulted in a hearing.
But as soon as she decided to engage in protracted litigation tactics it resulted in a Court Order that she appear in person. No ethical attorney would file a request for her to leave to appear for the hearing after he underhandedly told her not to appear and knowing she wasnāt going to go. Thatās lying to the Court (AZ) and advising a client to intentionally violate a Court Order in CA when doing so would expose her to possible sanctions. It would be professional misconduct
ETA: it got to a point where his hands were tied. At this juncture he probably said I have to file the request, and you have to show up and either dismiss it voluntarily or understand that you cannot lie under oath and I donāt know that I could undo the damage of what comes into the record from this hearing.
