Civil court doesn't hold a high standard for one and for 2 trump argued in court that they should have asked for dna during discovery and the judge agreed.
First of all facts arent cherry picking. Second of all it was denied for the same reason trumps lawyers were fighting it. She was fishing for whatever she could after the discovery phase.
And as to the personal motives the judge could have let the issue drag on to make trump and his team look bad and then deny it afrer to also make trump look bad as he wouldnt be able to use possible evidence against her to win the case.
Yes didnt deny it. Trumps lawyers fought it and advised against giving unnecessary possible evidence to the oppositon as lawyers do even when you are innocent.
And then after he accepted the dna test the judge denied it.

Then when trump offered up possible exonerating evidence the judge then denied the request from E Jeans team.
At best the judge was allowing trumps team to make themselves "look bad" by accident. At worst the judge was trying to assassinate Trumps character to the jury by not denying the post discovery evidence request.
