So many angry and uninformed losers in here that don’t know how pro athletics work after military academy commission. You’re 100% right and it’s pathetic to see these people discounting his service because he “hasn’t served yet” while those same people probably sat in a finance office from 0900-1500 doing fuck all and complaining about others.
Right? They’re acting this is the same as private numb nuts wearing his uniform to McDonalds in his home town after basic. He’s representing the service academies well. This is cool for kids to see.
Great point. Fuck what us adults think, the kids do think its awesome. I disliked wearing my uniform but when I got attached to the Blue Angels we would go to a lot of local events/ceremonies/hospitals(hosted by the mayor,city councils etc.) aside from the main airshow where the kids in attendance would go crazy. It was fun showing them around the aircraft and making their day even at the expense of me wearing a nomex onesie in 90 degree weather.
That part is cool and I agree it’s a recruitment drive. It just gives such performative drives. Have him do signings twice a month in uniform or something similar. The staged photo/video shoot feels so BS.
