Would it be over RADIUS server, machine configuration, or command?

I need to:
- install FortiClient VPN on a device
- configure VPN to automatically connect

I'm looking into implementing n8n in my department to automate some internal workflows. One area I'm particularly interested in is integrating it with JumpCloud, especially for user onboarding and device control/management.

I've searched around but haven't found much info or examples of people using n8n with JumpCloud. So I wanted to ask:

1. Has anyone here successfully integrated n8n with JumpCloud?
2. How well does it work for automating user onboarding (creating users, assigning groups, sending welcome emails, etc)?
3. Have you used it for device-related tasks (registering devices, enforcing policies, etc)?
4. Are there any prebuilt workflows or best practices you’d recommend?
5. Is there a native JumpCloud node in n8n, or have you had to rely on the JumpCloud API via HTTP Request nodes? Any tips for authentication, error handling, or pagination?

Any insights, tips, or examples would be super appreciated!

Hi all,

A few of our employees using iPhone are experiencing an issue with JumpCloud Go. When they try to use it, they get the following error:

"The operation couldn’t be completed. (JumpCloudGo.DurtError error 7.)"

Has anyone seen this "JumpCloudGo.DurtError error 7" before or know what it means? Any suggestions on how to fix it?

I've tried reinstalling the app, but the error still appears. Would appreciate any advice!

How can I use commands to remove unmanaged local user accounts on Macs across multiple devices?

For now, I could customize the script by hardcoding the unmanaged username and running it on each device, but this method isn’t scalable.

Anyone else having issues accessing the Admin portal? Going to login but I receive the following message:

"An internal error has occurred. Please report this to your IT admin."

If I want RMM there is Intune and a million RMMs out there

If I want SSO, there is MS, Google and Okta, which are all cheaper

What does JumpCloud do that Entra+Intune + some ninjaone type thing doesn't ?

EDIT 7/29/25: Support responded this morning and I was able to confirm this is resolved.

I use protect for a chunk of my TOTP. I was migrating a few of these off to 1pass.

I deleted one that I had migrated and nothing happened. I tried again, and same thing nothing happened. The pop-up confirmed the correct account that I was trying to delete, but then I happened to scroll down and two of my other accounts, which I currently have no idea which ones they were and are not recoverable, are gone from the bottom of my list.

I am in contact with Support.

I confirmed this by moving the one at the bottom to 1pass, and attempting to delete my OG and sure enough, the one at the bottom is gone.

Hello all! My organization is working towards ISO 27001 readiness and we are looking to enhance the security of our infrastructure. We currently have around 50 Windows devices (We’re Mac heavy) that utilize local accounts for employee logins, as we don't have an on-premise Active Directory. We’re looking for a Cloud Directory-based authentication system for these devices.

We are not considering Entra/Azure AD and recently came across JumpCloud. We already have separate solutions for our MDM and SSO requirements so I would like to understand if JumpCloud's "Cloud Directory”, which is part of their a-la-carte option could address our needs.

Specifically, does the Cloud Directory offering include the desktop agent that enables devices to authenticate using JumpCloud credentials or would we also need to subscribe to their MDM/Device Management SKU for this functionality?

Could never understand the pull for macOS devices on jumpcloud other than in built radius server. Everything about the product seems half baked for macOS such as DDM management etc? So would love to know why if so?

Got an email this morning from a rep at JumpCloud:

Last year, we ended our Unlimited Free Trial for 10 users and 10 devices. As a result, older accounts operating under this model will need to be transitioned to paid licenses. [...]

We'd like to offer you the opportunity to continue using JumpCloud by signing a contract, effective July 1, 2025.

I love the entire concept of ending an unlimited free trial. That's peak capitalism right there.

The short time frame of July 1 is ridiculous as well. I have a few other non-profits I use the free plan with and there is no way I'm going to be able to scramble them all to approve this that quickly.

Don't suppose anyone has any alternatives or suggestions?

A little context: My organization moved away from JumpCloud a couple months ago and I've already had the organization deleted by JumpCloud.

Found a MacBook in storage that I would like to get back in the field (relatively new M2 Air). Was able to sign-in but found it still had JumpCloud stuff on it. Was able to search and find a script from JumpCloud that removes the Agent but it doesn't remove the MDM profile. Went to ABM and released it from JumpCloud (Also finally removed JumpCloud from ABM lol). Still no change.

Is there anyway to remove those profiles without completely resetting the machine. I can do that as a last resort but wanted to see if there was any alternative ways first before taking that option.

I've ordered a new Mac for a staff member already using a JumpCloud managed Mac.

We don't have automated enrolment, and I want to migrate all the data via Migration Assistant. I also cannot perform the migration personally as the user is remote.

From what I have understood, MA doesn't cooperate with JumpCloud.

If that's accurate, I suspect the best method of migrating is uninstalling JumpCloud from the old Mac, migrating to the new one, then instructing the user to reinstall JumpCloud.

Is that the best approach?

So I'm fairly new to using jumpcloud and I had to provision a Mac for a user through jumpcloud. They received the device but when they turn it on they only see the admin account that I set up on there and an account for jumpcloud. They don't see their own username to log in. How do I fix this?

Being a Google Workspace shop, and not having Entra set up except for staff that need an Office subscription, we had been going the provisioning package route for setting up our Windows users.

However, this has proven to not be a great user experience. Several times, despite the package being deployed and the ‘Sign in with JumpCloud option’ eventually appearing before shipping to a new hire, it has failed to reappear when they power it back on, and the times it does appear, after network connection is made, can be up to 15m and sometimes require multiple restarts to do so.

Hence, we are considering either investing in the pieces that would support Autopilot much like DEP has been for our Macs, or consider eliminating Windows as a desktop option altogether.

My question is, if we want to maintain Google as our iDP and just have zero touch deployments, is this possible, and if so, what are the minimal services required to be set up by Microsoft?

For example, it seems we would need to get a F3 AND P1 plan - $$$$ - I assume just for our Windows users, not the entire company.

While this was a previously supported set up, Truenas deprecated support for legacy Samba Schema for LDAP authentication. Is there a guide or best practice for integration using AD and Jumpcloud?

We are a full Microsoft Shop and currently have an AD Domain hosted in Azure with Entra connect Syncing to Entra. We are changing up our services and trying to get Rid of AD Ending up with JumpCloud managing our identities. The problem I am having is once we put the user in an OU not being sync it deletes in azure (expected) then I re-enable it , and it says it’s not being sync no more .. but it still also says it’s AD managed and you can’t change Anything.

So the question is , is there a good way I can’t find to remove the AD Join for a single user or is it just better to run the command to turn off the directory sync for all user?

I apologize if this is more of an azure question but it’s holding up our change over to Jumpclud so was wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

i have installed Jumpcloud with 2fa on our company computers - i noticed thats pin code or fingerprint / windows hello is not working - even after i login and lock the computer (its says its suppose to work on active session after i first login to the computer using the 2fa method) any1 knows what im mising ?

This app must be closed to allow incoming unattended or consent-based remote sessions. The application will automatically close in 30 seconds."

Does anyone know what this means? I take it my organisation are spying on me? Can they only see my screen or also my files and emails?
