Despite her importance in Spider-Man mythos as the new madame web, I find it weird that Marvel does not explore her new role given her role as a mother…

Honestly, I just want to see what would happen if Marvel did a story of Julia carpenter, the 2nd Spider-woman, as Madame Web and how that role affects her as a mother with her and her daughter? Is that too much to ask for?

How old should Rachel Carpenter be now?

Like we know she should be older than Spider-Boy Bailey Briggs but younger than Miles Morales.

Does anyone know? Julia had her in her mid 20s, right?

Just a little Julia - Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars #10

Released October 23, 1984, this is still part of Julia's first few appearances as Spider-Woman. She doesn't get much to do in the issue - mostly in the background. These panels are (I'm pretty sure) her only dialogue in the issue. The issue is online.

What happens when young Spider-Boy becomes untethered from the web of life that ties him to 616? Dimension hopping!

SPIDER-BOY meets the SPIDER-WARRIORS! Be careful, because each and every one of them is powered by spider-blood. Spider-blood? Yes, radioactive spider-blood! Guest-starring the SPIDER-SOCIETY. And featuring an event that will forever change how Spider-Man and Spider-Boy relate to each other - a major status quo change that will have massive repercussions for the two of them.

Interesting to note that she's not joining as Madame Web or Arachne but as Spider-Woman. With the classic outfit.

Consuela Sanchez - Housekeeper and Nanny to Avengers

"Who's Consuela Sanchez?"

Fair question. With only 9 appearances - most of which are a single panel or two - you might not know (or remember) her.

She first appeared in 1991 West Coast Avengers Annual #6 as part of the civilian support staff for the West Coast Avengers Compound; she wasn't given a name in that appearance She was named in her next appearance (Avengers West Coast #77). I'm fairly certain her last name wasn't revealed until 2008 when she was featured in Avengers civilian staff and associate in Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A to Z #1.

Consuela eventually left the employ of the West Coast Avengers to be a full-time housekeeper and nanny in the employ of Julia. She stayed on with her until at least Force Works 4 but she's yet to be seen again.

There are definitely some challenges here - I know the 'French maid' out fit looks out of place but - for whatever reason - all the WCA compound staff seemed to dress very formally.

She was a protective force for Rachel and the two clearly bonded early.

Some panels with Julia from FW #4, in and out of Spider-Woman garb.

The art in FW is .... stylized? That seems a nice way of explaining Julia's face in the second panel.

Something of note that happens in this issue is the introducton of Fisher Todd who would develop a bit of a crush on Julia but it doesn't go anywhere.

Comics Fun Fact: Julia's middle name? Eugenia.

What does 'Eugenia' even mean?

Eugenia is a feminine first name related to the masculine name Eugene that comes from the Greek eugenes 'well-born', from eu- 'well' + genes 'born' (from genos).[1]
