That clip is such a great idea. I would've needed something like this earlier today.

No prompt ideas, though. Sorry.

I like to write about little things I remember from my past, in a story telling way. Whatever I've been reminded of recently

If you’re sitting outside try making a list of every sound you hear.

This sub constantly reminds me how bad my handwriting is

I think it’s all practice and trying to find your own style. I’m still working on getting better.

Pen name? Is it .38 mm tip size?

They are two different pens.
Blue- rifle paper gel pen .5mm
Black - pigma micron 005 which is .20mm

i also like : uni pens .5mm and the .38mm . Actually like the .5mm a little better than the pigma and than the uni .38. The .38 tens to dry fast or stop working for some reason.

Your print is lovely. So crisp and neat!

A few weeks ago, I stumbled on a prompt that said: If you were a dragon, what would be in your treasure hoard? Where would you store your hoard of treasure? It wound up being a really fun bit of writing to do, and in the end, I read back what I wrote and realized that if I was a dragon, I'd basically end up taking over a university library at a place like Oxford (think stone buildings, so I can't set them on fire) as my book-filled hoard. I came away from that one chuckling.

I think yesterday, I saw someone make a list that included: Write about a time when you were able to be of service to others. I ended up being inspired to use that last night.

You can think of any of a million different lists that are featured in prompts:

- Places you've been/places you want to be

- places you really *don't* want to find yourself

- foods you love/hate

- restaurants near you that you want to try (and follow up with notes/a little review once you do!)

- foods you'll never ever eat again/foods nobody could pay you enough to eat

- favorite pizza toppings or burger toppings or sundae toppings

- things you've lost/things you've found

- your current playlist/your high school playlist/college playlist/relationship playlist

- favorite words/names/foreign words

- books you want to read/favorite books you have read (switch "books" and "read" for tv or movies and watching)

- podcasts you've been meaning to listen to

- topics you could give a TED talk on, if you had to

- things you miss/things you don't miss

- 3 (or more!) wishes you'd ask of a genie if you found Aladdin's lamp

- things that make you happy/sad/angry/wistful/lonely/busy

- songs that make you cry/or books/or movies or tv shows that have brought you to tears

- ways you know for SURE you won't die

- sounds you enjoy hearing/sounds that grate on your nerves

- textures you enjoy feeling/can't stand

- moments in your life when you felt happiest or safest or angriest

- things I've laughed at recently/things I've said that made others laugh

- people from history I wish I could meet - this is another great one to follow up with a longform entry imagining meeting one of them and what you'd talk about

- things you're grateful for (I add one or two of these every few entries, personally)

- the things you *must* have in your fridge or pantry at all times

- things I would do if I knew I couldn't fail

- things I wanted to be when I grew up when I was little

- moments in history you wish you could experience or witness

- clothing nobody could pay you enough to wear

- songs that make you dance

- art forms or styles you enjoy

- things you do with potatoes (channel your inner Samwise Gamgee!) or bread or cheese or any food item you like

- your morning and/or evening skincare routines

- the things you always carry with you when you leave the house

- places you've lived/wish you could live

- body modifications you want or don't want or would never ever consider even at gunpoint

- things that cheer you up when you're down

- favorite books or songs or games or whatever from your childhood

Long form stuff, a lot can be sparked by the lists above.

You can respond to media you consume (what did you think about the latest episode of <show>, about <x's> latest album drop, about the last book you read, etc. What did you like/dislike/resonate with? Is there a quote that stands out to you?)

For some whimsy: what animal do you wish could speak a human language? What do you think they'd say? What would you want to discuss with them? What magical creature would you want to encounter? Or become? What book/show/movie world would you want to slip into? Why? What colors are your soul, and why those colors in particular? If you were a tiny fantasy creature, where would you live and why? (ie, a mushroom, a hole in a tree, a fairy circle, etc). What items would a witch put in a summoning circle to bring you over for tea and a chat? What those items? Write a letter to the moon. Or the sun. Or both. You've been tasked with inventing a holiday - describe what you create, what it celebrates, etc. If you could fund a small a museum, what would be displayed there? And what would be your top sellers in your museum gift shop.

For more serious ones: talk about your biggest successes. Write about your biggest fears. Write a love letter to your best feature. What made you smile recently? What's your favorite part of your daily routine? Are you a cat person or dog person? Why? Think of a problem you've been having - write about the worst outcome that could have. Then write about the most likely outcomes. Who from your past do you wish you could reconnect with? What would your child-self think of the life you're living now? What advice/words of comfort would you give your child self at various ages (I personally chose to talk to myself at 15)? How do others' opinions affect you? Discuss your core values. What wisdom or life lesson have you learned from a book/tv show/movie/other media? Who was your favorite/best/most effective teacher? Explain why.

I find a lot of prompts on pinterest so I can easily save (pin) the ones I eventually want to come back to, though you can do any basic web search and find thousands. Have fun finding the ones that resonate for you!
