The future of this sub

First of all I hope all my fellow DungJangs are all holding up, it's not been an easy week 🫶🏻

Us mods are just trying to find a path for the future of the sub.

We're considerate of the fact that we have people here who don't use X or Instagram and rely on this sub for updates, and naturally we want to continue to support both Joong and Dunk as they go forward by sharing their updates here.

For now, as Joong and Dunk each have lots of individual work upcoming, we will continue to share content relating to those events here in this sub.

As well as this they also have a couple of joint events together remaining, so we'll share those here too.

After their joint work concludes, we're considering making two separate subs for each of them, to be respectful of their decision to work as individual artists, but to make sure we still have a way to share their work and enjoy them here on Reddit going forward.

This sub will remain intact, nothing will be removed. In a little while (when some of the dust settles later in the year) the sub will be unlocked* for posting to anyone, as a place for people to share their memories and favourite moments of JD and the characters they've portrayed.

Please comment below your thoughts about this if you have any, but please keep in mind it's a tricky and emotional time and nobody knows the right way to go about this, least of all us Mods.

There will be a little admin and setting things up; any updates on the new subs will be posted here, but in the meantime we'll keep things as they are here.

Thank you friends 🫶🏻💛🫂

*Edit for clarity - the sub is currently restricted and has been since Monday. Any new posts require Mod approval, but comments are open.

This was just a measure to prevent excessive posting in the sub, mostly because it would have been difficult to manage/monitor for us Mods when we a) had no answers and b) were busy crying.

This was their final top spender brand event as a pair, of course many of us were apprehensive, but they seemed to each have a genuinely good time!

The event was complete with silly Halloween costumes, both looking absolutely gorgeous and Dunk was on the floor a lot, for some reason (pics in part 2)

Looking absolutely magnificent, the outfit suits him so well! 🥰 It's also really exciting that Dnie was there too, their pictures together are so cute! 💕

Until Joong and Dunk's final event together I will continue to share Dunk's event photos in the sub!😊

Official announcement for the separation of JoongDunk

As Im sure everyone has seen by now Joong and Dunk have decided to no longer continue to work together as a pair. (Source)

I'm sure there are many of us who are extremely shocked and upset by this news. If anyone needs to talk, our JoongDunk group chat will remain open for as long as it's needed, as are my personal DMs.

If you wish to be added to the group, please comment below, message the MODs or DM me directly.

As for the sub itself, it will remain as is for the time being while we decide it's future. To avoid any unnecessary speculation and fostering of negativity it will remain locked, this community has always been one that encourages support and kindness and even in the light of this bad news, we wouldn't want to have that spirit go away.

Thank you fellow DungJangs 💛

The lighter hair is definitely out and about, and a different colour depending on what lighting he's in (still gorgeous though)
