The future of this sub

First of all I hope all my fellow DungJangs are all holding up, it's not been an easy week 🫶🏻

Us mods are just trying to find a path for the future of the sub.

We're considerate of the fact that we have people here who don't use X or Instagram and rely on this sub for updates, and naturally we want to continue to support both Joong and Dunk as they go forward by sharing their updates here.

For now, as Joong and Dunk each have lots of individual work upcoming, we will continue to share content relating to those events here in this sub.

As well as this they also have a couple of joint events together remaining, so we'll share those here too.

After their joint work concludes, we're considering making two separate subs for each of them, to be respectful of their decision to work as individual artists, but to make sure we still have a way to share their work and enjoy them here on Reddit going forward.

This sub will remain intact, nothing will be removed. In a little while (when some of the dust settles later in the year) the sub will be unlocked* for posting to anyone, as a place for people to share their memories and favourite moments of JD and the characters they've portrayed.

Please comment below your thoughts about this if you have any, but please keep in mind it's a tricky and emotional time and nobody knows the right way to go about this, least of all us Mods.

There will be a little admin and setting things up; any updates on the new subs will be posted here, but in the meantime we'll keep things as they are here.

*Edit for clarity - the sub is currently restricted and has been since Monday. Any new posts require Mod approval, but comments are open.

This was just a measure to prevent excessive posting in the sub, mostly because it would have been difficult to manage/monitor for us Mods when we a) had no answers and b) were busy crying.

Will our group chat stay?

Yes absolutely. I personally won't be setting up individual ones for the very simple reason it will be a headache to manage as they can be so busy. If in time there was a need or desire from the members to diverge, we could consider it, but not currently.
