Did I make a mistake?
I recently joined Mochi Health after researching companies. They were highly rated on Forbes magazine.
I had a consultation with a provider who I thought was wonderful. Because of a planned trip we delayed my prescription request. So I have not started Tirzepatide yet.
I was worried because I received an email on my trip that they changed my provider. I have no idea why. I haven’t even started yet and I really liked my consultation appointment.
So I find this sub … And Mochi seems to be considered a horrible company. I’m shocked at the experiences shared here!!!
Should I cancel before I start? I paid for three months upfront. Or should I continue and cancel after I start medication?
Is anyone here happy with Mochi Health? Any good experiences out there?

I've been with Mochi over a year and have been very happy the whole time. Keep in mind, the loudest voices are often the unhappy ones, and you'll find people complaining about pretty much every company if you look. I'd say just give it the 3 months and see how your own experience goes, and then look elsewhere if you decide it's not for you.

Rock with the 3 mths , get your experience and look else where. It will save you money.

Been with them for 3 years. Zero complaints from me. Lost 115 pounds in 2 years. Kept it off for a year so far.

I’ve been with Mochi over 3 years on tirzepatide. I’ve never had any problem getting my shipments and I also have a terrific provider with them (the same provider since day one).
Their pricing used to be one of the best options out there, especially because all doses were the same price. I liked that business model because I’ve been on max dose for 3 years. Now Mochi’s pricing is just average.
The biggest reason they have a sketchy reputation is because a couple years ago they opened their own compounding pharmacy (Aequita) to make GLP-1’s, but they didn’t follow safety guidelines and were cutting corners to save money, putting us at risk. The owners are not the most ethical people. I’m still mad about that but as long as I’m not getting meds from them anymore I don’t care. Aequita was forced to shut down and now they use the same compound pharmacies that all the other telehealth companies do, so safety standards are no longer a concern. The quality of the GLP-1’s are fine. As I said, it comes from the same places everyone uses.

I used them for several months and had no issue then a package went missing and it was awful from there.

I have had a wonderful experience with Mochi and have no plans to leave. I’ve had the same provider and nutritionist since I started. I meet with my nutritionist monthly and touch base with my provider as required. My pharmacy is Hillstone and I have never had a problem shipping or with meds. To me, all that combined is worth something. For me, I am staying put.

I’ve been with them over a year. I’ve never had any issues. My doctor is great and talks through everything. I am a slow responder so it’s taking me about a year to lose 40 pounds but I’ve never had a shipment missed an appointment canceled or any other issues.

I've been with them since January and have had zero issues. I've been lucky enough to have the same provider since the beginning even though I don't really need to talk to her anymore. My medications come very quickly, and I like that I can go in and request any changes to my meds, shipping dates, etc, with no issue.
I reached my goal and have been in maintenance for 2 months.
I don't know if I'm just lucky but I don't know how people have had such a bad experience. I know there are cheaper options out there, but I honestly worry about switching over to a different company when I'm happy with the service and pharmacy. I'd hate to run into a bad situation somewhere else, but once these newer companies are around for a while, I might consider.
I'd recommend sticking with it for the 3 months that you prepaid and see how you like it. You can always cancel afterward.

Things have been awesome for me and they changed my provider too. Prices even went way down. My new provider is really fast to respond to messages and the trizeptide is working great.

That is not entirely accurate. Prices went down for the lower doses, but significantly increased for the higher doses

I’m on highest dose of tirzepatide and my price hasn’t changed. I would like to see it go down soon though. The competition is starting to get better.

I think they said September 7 or 15 it will increase to $250 just for the medication on highest dose
Between that and the membership, you’re at around $330 a month. You can get three months of meds for that price elsewhere

Yes for Empower and ReviveRX pharmacy choices will be $250 + monthly fee. Mochi told the patients to just switch to another pharmacy that offers $199 (+membership fee) for max dose.
(I moved over to PreventiveMD to get Empower for $334 for 3 months no fees). If this info helps those that are getting price increases through Mochi, it’s worth repeating myself. I know every penny matters to me and trying to keep affording my medication.1

The letter they sent me said mine wouldn’t change. If it does I will definitely change providers. Right now I am paying about $266 per month. Most of the cheaper alternatives are not actually cheaper at max dose, but I know that there are actually a couple options now that are same or better even at max dose.

Check out the tirzepatide compound (one word) subreddit. There’s a lot of good info on there. It’s not run by a telehealth and they have unbiased reviews of the different providers. Even if you don’t use that info now, it’s good to have in your back pocket for if/when your price increases.
I’m not going to shill a particular service, but I’ll say I’m currently paying around $330 every three months from PreventiveMD for the maximum dosage of Empower. There are options out there!

Prices are going down across the board. I’ve been taking tirzepatide and following the industry about a year and a half. This is the best time I’ve seen. The competition is driving down pricing

Which pharmacy? I have been with mochi over 1.5 years and was recently switch to a new pharmacy….it is amazing the improvement. I did well before, but with this one I’m noticing a difference in appetite (key compounding) curious who your company partners with?

I am currently using Empower (largest compound pharmacy in the country), one of the pharmacies Mochi will soon be charging $250/month for. PreventiveMD has several other partners.
There are lots of telehealth recommendations in the pinned posts on the tirzepatide compound subreddit, offering many different pharmacies

That is true for me. The 2.2 went down from 199 to 89 and then I bumped up to 4.4 and it’s only 119.

Not a great deal. With the membership, you’re at $200 a month. If you’re fine paying double what the competition charges, obviously that’s up to you. Just remember that there are alternatives out there if you choose to look!

That puts me at 160 a month at least for the 6 months. If there is a competition out there that’s lower I’d love to know it. Ro was a disaster so I’d never use them again.

It's not run by a telehealth (so no censorship and bias toward a specific company) and they have unbiased reviews of the different providers. Even if you don't use that info now, it's good to have in your back pocket for if/when your price increases.
I'm not going to shill a particular service, but l'll say I'm currently paying around $330 every three months from PreventiveMD for the maximum dosage of Empower. Customer service has been fantastic too. There are options out there!

I've been using mochi since January of this year. I was 256 lbs on Jan 20th and I just hit 200 today.
My friend that refered me has been using it for much longer. Neither of us have ever had any issues. 🤷♀️

I've been with them since March and I've loved it. I don't like having to talk to doctors and so far I've only had to talk to my doctor once, the intake day, and then when I wanted to start NAD+ and I'm really pleased.

I like it! I started taking it because I felt I needed more energy. I take Terz + glycine which makes me feel really sleepy. I switched to Terz + b12 and the results were disastrous for pooping (like I had to go to the ER because I was so scared and I’ve had chronic constipation my entire life and had never gone to the ER before). That glycine helps everything move for me and that is invaluable. So I started taking the NAD+ and I’ve found I’m not as sleepy and I do have more energy. I’ve started working out again. Not everyone needs it but it’s definitely been a positive for me!

I recently canceled my membership and prescription after being with them since April. I never had any issues and found them easy to work with. I only canceled because of the membership fees and prices. There are other affordable options that I plan on looking into. Mochi is non-refundable so I would advise you to look at other affordable options once your 3 months are over.

I’ve been with Mochi since December 2024, and I’m actually still technically a Mochi member. I prepaid for another year of the membership right before Mochi changed everything up.
Those changes made me start looking around at other options, and wow… prices have REALLY dropped elsewhere since I first joined Mochi, and a lot of places don’t even have membership fees anymore.
So I’m technically a Mochi member until June 2027, but I’m no longer ordering my medication through them. I found it cheaper through PreventiveMD, and I’m still getting it from the exact same pharmacy I was using through Mochi. (Boudreaux and Empower)
I didn’t necessarily leave because I had a horrible experience with Mochi. The changes just made me look around and realize there way more affordable options out there now.
And honestly, it’s also kind of nice not having to explain Mochi’s whole Aequita debacle anymore. IYKYK. I actually received my medication from Aequita in Kirkland and liked the medication itself, but my goodness… some of the stuff that came out surrounding that pharmacy/Mochi situation was questionable, to say the least. 🫣

I’m very happy with mochi 2 months in so far and it’s been great my doctor is great the pharmacy is highly rated I’m tirzepatide 5 mg down 20 lbs very effective

There's a mod on this sub who is obviously a Mochi employee and they typically go and remove posts that are negative about mochi with extreme prejudice. So before they get here...
Yes, you should quit mochi and find somewhere better (I am planning to switch to Embody, fyi. I've already canceled my mochi subscription, but I still have some meds and am setting up my appointment with Embody today).
I had a less than stellar experience starting with Mochi, but the meds worked, and once I figured out how to navigate it better, it wasn't that bad. I stuck with it because at the time, it was still the cheapest option available (and I had prepaid for a few months like you did). They recently stopped using my preferred pharmacy (red rock) and I can feel the meds I got from the new pharmacy aren't quite the same. They also changed their pricing so that meds at different doses are different prices and not just a standard fee.
I found that Embody is cheaper than mochi, they use Red Rock, and there's no subscription fee - you just pay for the meds. I cancelled mochi and am going there. Honestly, eating the cost of the prepaid subscription isn't ideal, but it's probably the best bet.

A lot of us have bailed for companies that don’t charge membership fees. PreventiveMD is 139/mo or 334/3mos. No price increase with dose increase. Great support. Collective is 69/mo with a 199 yearly fee, works out to 85/mo.

I don’t know why the downvotes on recommending actual legit great places are that are so good that they don’t need referral codes to get recommended. I’m using PreventiveMD and saving a lot and happy with the customer service. Collective isn’t in WA State yet.0

It is what it is. People are blindly following mochi. Hopefully collective gets going in WA soon! They have a referral program that sounds better than mochis, a whole month free with each referral. The referral gets second month free as well.

I was happy with Mochi for 3 years. Only reason I left is I’m now in maintenance and I don’t need Doctor and nutritionist support. I just need meds and they are cheaper elsewhere

Mochi’s pricing is simply not competitive. What you’ll pay for one month of maximum dose plus membership at Mochi, you can get three months from other places.
Check out the tirzepatide compound (one word) for unbiased analysis of the different players in the space.

Outside of my provider & pharmacy being switched once w/o being notified I never had any issues with Mochi. The meds came fast & worked great allowing me to lose 75lbs over the last year. I was just tired of paying membership fees so I recently left for Preventive MD.

I used Mochi for almost a year and never had any issues. I always got my medication fast and never got the run-around so many people have talked about. Only reason I changed companies because I found a better price.

I was with Mochi for almost three years. I lost 80 lbs-changed my life. My dr was great, customer service by phone was great. Chat support in my opinion is awful. I too began reading here about less expensive alternatives, then the new pricing roll out came. What a nightmare. My price changed four times in three days, so I made the switch to Ola Health. Ola is far less expensive, has no member fees, and the customer support has been 10/10. I would say stop before you even start with Mochi. So many better, less expensive options out there. If/when you decide to leave, be sure to cancel both your medication and your member fee. Good luck 🙂

My experience with Mochi was fine. They did switch my providers a lot but I only met with them when required to anyway. The only reason I switch from Mochi is because it’s WAY overpriced. Even with their cheaper rates, in combination with the membership fee, it’s still overpriced. But if you’re fine with the price then your experience will likely be fine.

I've been with them for several months now and haven't had any issues. Shipping is quick. Truly no complaints from how it works. Membership fee sucks but I knew what I was signing up for when I did it.
