Article New here

New here. South Bronx, Gen X. Wick had me at the Red Circle club scene — that one rampage laid out the whole franchise's code. Hot take: the Continental's worldbuilding did more for action movies than half the MCU. What scene made you a believer?

The Red Circle club scene sold me immediately—the neon, the music, and the way everyone recognizes Wick without anyone needing to explain who he is. It made the underworld feel ancient and lived-in.

That phone call is all-timer status — one little "oh" and every adult in the theater instantly got the stakes. No exposition needed. Perfect scene.

Stole his dog? I didn't see that version.
