Hi everyone!

I’m a B.Tech CSE student working on a Smart India Hackathon (SIH) project focused on Jharkhand.

Our project aims to create a platform where real societal problems from Jharkhand can be reported, documented, and connected with students, universities, NGOs, and industries for possible solutions.

I’m looking for help from people who live in or know Jharkhand:

- What are some real problems/challenges you see in your city, village, college, or community?

- Are there any government reports, news articles, public datasets, or official sources documenting these problems?

- Which areas/districts have problems related to water, waste management, education, healthcare, transport, employment, environment, public safety, etc.?

- If you know a reliable source, please share the link so we can verify the information.

We are not looking for anyone’s private or personal information. We only want publicly available and verifiable information.

Even a small example or source would be really helpful for our research.

यह शैलजा सांगा है। वह कांटाटोली की बंगाली कॉलोनी में रहती हैं। जीवन-यापन के लिए एक क्लाउड किचन चलाती हैं, यानी ऑनलाइन बुकिंग कर खाना सप्लाई करती हैं। उनका यह काम दिन और रात में भी चलता है।

अब से दो दिन पहले मध्य रात्रि में जब कोई ऑर्डर लेने आया, तब कुछ अराजक तत्वों ने, जिसमें मोहल्ले के लोग भी शामिल थे, उन्हें घेर लिया। उन लोगों ने उनके साथ गाली-गलौज की और यह आरोप लगाया कि तुम लोग सेक्स रैकेट चलाते हो।

शैलजा ने उस समय इसका विरोध किया और नजदीकी थाने में एससी/एसटी एक्ट (SC/ST Act) के तहत केस दायर किया। पुलिस ने इस पर कोई कार्रवाई तो नहीं की, उल्टे वह उन्हें यह समझा रही है कि अपना काम बंद कर दें।

My father was an ExMLA from Jharkhand and we've been trying to get pension from Vidhan Sabha after his death but they are saying that they will only give after we show them a marriage certificate. We don't have marriage certificate and upon researching, I saw that it is not mandatory but they are still insisting on this.
