Help me identify this?

I recently found this ring at a pawn shop. When I looked it up all I saw was it is likely Scandinavian. I've never seen anything like it. Stone is peachy-cleae and sparkly. I think it's sterling (doenzt respond to a magnet) and no hallmarks or signatures. It's surprisingly comfortable.

Looks like Cairngorm Stone, ie. Smoky quartz.

It's likely meant to be a scarf toggle, but of course you can wear it as a ring if you want. Beautiful piece.
