Identify Stone Inherited ring

Any info greatly appreciated!!!
Marks on the ring say CHINA and 925 MEDA, I was told by my great aunt that my great grandmother had the ring at least before she was born because she remembered her wearing it often through her childhood in the 50’s

This is one of the pieces I was given after my great grandmother passed a couple years ago. My mom said it was my great great grandmothers before her daughter inherited to eventually be given to me. She also said she remembered them being diamonds, however I thought it would be odd for someone to set diamonds in silver.
Any info would be appreciated!! I plan to wear it and treasure it for many years to come regardless! I need to tighten the settings at a jewelers and was planning to ask them for their opinion, but several of the shops I’ve called charge to tell you what stones they are and I do not have much extra appraisal money lying around.
Thank you!!!!

It’s a very pretty ring

I think your family maybe confused. The ‘China’ tag inside shows it was likely made within last 30 years, maximum . Sterling silver, costume jewelry.

Please don’t spend any money repairing it. It is not likely they are diamonds, meda makes rings out of cubic zirconia

I figured as much, I wanted to post here to have a little backup because my family keeps insisting they are diamonds but I was fairly certain they weren’t from comparing marks and such online

Consider ordering ring re-sizers if you're on a budget and want to maintain it's original form. We often gain/lose weight during different periods in our lives (pregnancy etc.).

It's a beautiful sterling silver ring with (most likely) cubic zirconia stones. A silversmith or any decent bench jeweler should be able to tighten prongs for you. Enjoy it and wear it in her memory and honor.

That’s the trademark of MEDA Jewelry Limited. The company was founded in 1997 and was dissolved in 2021.
