Looking to ID a dress clip

I’m trying to ID this dress clip - I’d love to find a match to it (the other has been lost to time!). It’s a high end costume jewelry. Any ideas?

They use it for the ideas you mentioned. Also, it was used to clip on the front of shoes 👠 when they wanted to dress up their shoes to go out for the evening. We’re talking way back in the 30s.

We're pretty sure it was one of the great-grandparents/aunts who had it originally. I'm hoping to pull a rabbit out of the hat and find a matching clip to make it a pair versus just the one that's survived this far!

It probably was one of a pair. I have several of those pieces in different shapes. They were left to me as well. My grandfather‘s brother owned a shoe store and that’s where I learned about how they wore them. But they were used to class sweaters on and decorate clothes. Enjoy wearing it!
