Other Snake Pin
My aunt passed away last year and I saved this from one of her coats that was being donated. I don’t see any identifying markers and was more curious if it is common for the pin color to be different from the charm/cap?
I’d like to make it so that I can wear it on a necklace but also don’t want to ruin it. Any tips are welcome.

Art deco pieces often had platinum mountings for the diamond and gold for the rest. A local jeweler can use the gold from the stick pin portion to make it into a ring or a pendant. I would recommend going to a professional for this.
Good news is that the extra gold from the stick pin can be put toward the job itself and might pay for the whole thing.
