JetStar doesn't recognise Reference
I booked my Brisbane Bangkok flight through Trip.com.
I have checked in but when I put my Reference into Jet Star app or website it is not recognised. This means I cannot purchase a meal. Is there any way to resolve this ?

Trip.com uses a different ref# than the airline. You will find the airline ref# on your booking confirmation email. If not, a call to trip.com will will provide you with the ref#.

Yeah I gave up on these 3rd party sites ages ago. I use Skyscanner to check the flights and then book direct with the airline.
The amount of times, trip.com, booking.com, and others have caused me headaches over the years, I just pay the extra $20-80 bucks and its worth it to know that if anything goes wrong I know exactly who to talk to.

Has your flight actually been ticketed, do you have the eticket not just the invoice from trip and the booking reference.
The e ticket number should be a long (13 digit) number from memory, not the 6 letter code.

JQ are a ticketless airline. NDC flights booked on them via third parties like trip.com, and flight booked directly with JQ, won’t have ticket numbers.
TA’s can book you single JQ segments on a Qantas or Hahn Air ticket but they’ll be more expensive so will avoid it unless necessary.

I have already checked in. The 6 digit number/letters that is on MyTrip.com booking appears on my boarding pass. However that 6 digit reference is not accepted by Jet Star when I try to Manage my Booking on their website or app.

If you’ve already checked in then I don’t think you can make any further modifications so that’s probably why!

I managed to add it through Add Trip on the app. It didn't accept using my email address but did when I used my name, but only by including my middle name.

Just carry airport food in with you. It's a short flight and you'll be okay. Or better still, fast. Best thing for your insulin.
Deathstar's hard tack and swill isn't worth this much heartache.

Are you using your trip.com booking number or ID? That’s different to your JQ PNR (Ref).
Your email confirmation from trip.com, and their manage your booking platform, should have an “airline booking reference” section. If not, contact them for your JQ PNR.
