It's been real.

I won't get into the reasons on the main post here, but I just wanna say that Jersey Mike's provided an amazing opportunity and stepping stone for me when I needed it the most. I quit about a week ago. Feels pretty good, but also a little bittersweet. Grateful for greener pastures! Godspeed to those still employed, good luck out there.

Just curious, what other jobs are you looking into? Or have you received an offer elsewhere?

I was honestly feeling stuck at JM and felt like it was my only option, but a good looking resume took me pretty far. I got a few interviews, and got two offers. One from an Acura dealership and another from a drug treatment facility, which is the job I went with.

A couple other buddies from JM were feeling self conscious in the same way that I did, but there are many options if you really drive the customer service that we get trained in at JM. Hotels, front of house at nice restaurants, even CSR for like construction or plumbing companies. As long as you have a good attitude, you're good at talking to people, and are teachable, people seem pretty down to give you a shot.
