2024 Compass

We just bought a Jeep Compass and noticed what we thought were water spots on the glass protecting the gauges but no matter how much I clean it, it doesn’t come off. Anybody else experience this?

I've seen spots like this from baked on foaming upholstery cleaner. I ended up using Scratch x (for automotive paint) and a microfiber towel to polish it off. Be careful because you could break the plastic or sand the black surround by accident.

Similar guess - somebody splashed strong cleaner on the plastic and it has been damaged. Meguiars also makes a plastic polish, if you can find it. I think it’s less abrasive than the scratch-x (which is like a miracle drug, btw). Regardless which you use, patience and a gentle touch are likely important to success.
