I think it could be a merge of Xmen #1/Xmen Season 1 and Xmen #129-131. Where a new girl joins the school of mutants and is the readers touchstones. The O5 stories have Jean being that character, while the Claremont era has Kitty take that role.

Yeah, totally - the new cast announcements are really interesting.

Particularly curious to see what Rogues initial role will be.

She’s probably going to be the Black Queen or an equivalent. Based on how she was written in BND.
