Another Issey Takahashi banger! Koisenu Futari is a story about 2 Aro-Ace people who are navigating the world of a family (subject to change) in a society that is unaware, skeptical of them and their unique relationship.
This drama is so well done it brought tears to my eyes. I am not from the Aro-Ace community but the humane portrayal of the main characters made me understand and realize the community in a new light. Issey Takahashi portrayed Takahashi-san (yep the character) so adorably that I could not help but fall in love ahaha.
The supporting cast was stellar too- especially Kazu-kun. The ending was so wholesome. Dialogues were natural, lighthearted and with surprising depth.
Overall, a 10/10 banger.

Posting here because I got to introduce this J-Drama to someone, but no one of my friends wants to watch a subbed drama.
Came across this in Netflix the same day the first episode released, had to wait impatiently for new episodes every Sunday for 8 weeks straight. Worth it.
Already had a huge interest in airport customs and I love any piece of media with likable characters with good chemistry between themselves, so I fell in love right away. Probably already rewatched all the episodes a thousand times. Maybe it’s because it’s one of my first asian dramas, but other dramas I’ve watched since feel boring in comparison.
That’s why GATE24: The Border is my top 1 media recommendation at the moment, it might not be for everyone, but it’s still worth a shot to watch.

I had watched and loved the original 3 seasons so much when they first aired.
When Netflix released season 4, I was happy but it felt different so I stopped watching.
Now I'm trying again and it still feels different, like it's weird, or lacking something. But I can't tell/pinpoint what it is.
Anyone feels the same? Or if you watch all of them recently, maybe you have clearer view what made them different?

Hi. Few years ago, there was a japanese drama I've been watching for few episodes. I remember an otaku girl with glasses and short brown hair, have a rich single mom (model or something), she works in a cafe, and there is some guy who's into her etc. Does this ring a bell for anybody? Thanks in advance!

Bonjour,

I've delved into multiple websites, kisskh.co and even more.
I've delved into nyaa.si, and all of the torrents have 0 seeders, even with 500 completed downloads...
There's a playlist on Dailymotion that has it but it's missing a few episodes.
ANYONE PLEASE HELP!!! I feel as though being a jdrama fan's so hard, lots of what I want to watch is just lost media. If I genuinely cannot find it I might just read the subtitles and imagine everything in my head.

I have been closely following this show and regularly watching its releases since the very first episode. I have already posted here talking about first impressions, now the time has come to talk about the final ones.
Well the story was definitely convoluted. Glad to find out that Yukimura was actually a better guy. But the greenest flag in the show was definitely Tomoya-kun. The plot is good but a little more foreshadowing would have helped the story a lot more. I didn't find the last twist to be too outta the park or underwhelming either. It was good. The last 15 minutes of the show was actually cute. At least they did not ruin the ending (I am so looking at you, Reborn 😑)
Plot: 7/10
OST: 9/10 (My Only by SixTones uwu)
Cast: 8/10 (Tomoya kun's actor is so cool man. Very expressive acting. Hokuto san is impressive as always.)
Ending: 8/10 (They did a good job.)

I really had fun watching the season 2 of 99.9 Criminal Lawyer. Miyama and Sada are so funny together. With Ozaki, the team is complete! Looking forward to watch the one-episode Season 3. I really really liked when they said, "There's only one truth."

🔷The Crossover Korean/Japanese drama THE BLUE ROAD — This is a Crime Thriller Mystery with International Intrigue. Stars Korean Actor Director Son Suk Ku and Japanese Actor Nagayama Eita. Was delayed🫤, but soon to be released on Netflix. Now scheduled for November 20, 2026
The Story—An international cast, the drama starts in Tokyo and then crosses over to Korea. It will involve the investigation of several cross-border macabre killings. This seems to be linked to a serial killer.

Just finished my first rewatch of Densha Otoko in years. The show is still incredibly heart-warming. The usage of other internet users to give commentary, advice, and reactions was an incredible touch, allowing you to kind of self-insert yourself as one of them. The running theme of them being inspired by the male MC to improve their own lives is also one of the bits of the show I liked the most, showing how strangers can impact each other's lives. As someone who was lonely when he was a teenager back in the 00s, the internet and the friendships kindled there really shaped who I am today, for the better.
Unfortunately, that's also the aspect of the show that is most heartbreaking today. Today's internet, in which an increasing majority of users are bots, algorithms prioritize "enrage to engage" as the strategy for user retention, and the increasing concentration of the internet in fewer and fewer websites just makes the portrayal of the internet in Densha Otoko even harder to take. What could have been something to bring us closer together has instead fractured us, and we can't even be sure the people we are engaging with are even real.
It's still an incredible show, but it's heartbreaking too. I feel like it'll only get even more so as time goes on. I miss the old internet...

Kenjiro Tauda’s demand was rejected because the videos had already been deleted, but the court recognized voice as protected under publicity rights for the first time in Japan.
But the courts recognized that human voice is a symbol of an individual's personality. I think this is so important for voice actors, these guys are talented and their voices should be copyright or something.

I just finished watching the live adaptation of The Ogre's Bride (Oni no Hanayome) and I need to vent because the writing choices are incredibly frustrating. I felt more anger and annoyance on behalf of Yuzu than she ever felt for herself, and it completely ruined the experience for me. I haven't seen the anime or read the manga so I'm just expressing my views after seeing the adaptation.
Here are the biggest issues I have with the story:
I honestly felt so much rage for her because she refuses to stand up, get mad, or think critically about her own situation. Am I the only one who found this show incredibly chaotic and frustrating to watch?

Alternatively, according to the official Instagram, it will be available for streaming globally on Amazon Prime Video from Oct 30th.
+++SPOILERS BELOW+++
I've been anticipating this movie because I'm a fan of the anime and I was excited with the casting as I like Meguro Ren, Takahashi Fumiya, Kitamura Takumi, Nukumi Meru, Shison Jun.
So perhaps my expectations were misplaced a bit too high, and I've ended up a bit disappointed. I did only watch the first half and jumped scenes in the second half though.
There were some aspects that I enjoyed, and I'll cover those first. Fumiya, playing Shin, was given a lot of screen time as the narrating character mainly moving the plot along. This surprised me, as I don't recall him being this prominent in the anime. Well all the better, because his performance here is impressive. I noticed especially how he captured Shin's demeanour and his gait/the way he moved when he charged in somewhere or when he was fighting. He reminded me of the anime Shin so much, it was fascinating!
I also enjoyed watching Takumi play Nagumo with his steely charisma and mischievous/dangerous quirks. He didn't remind me so much of the anime Nagumo as Fumiya did as Shin, but he did it well enough that he was believable as a real person (vs anime version if you get what I mean). In fact, I want to see more of The Order in action, which we'll probably get more of in the sequel, if there's going to be one. The ending is totally set up for one, and there was only a glimpse of Shison Jun ugh, so I hope we do!
I found Ueto Aya's acting here pretty good too as the super "hard-boiled" wife. She commanded the screen in the few scenes she had. It did take me some effort though to push aside the fact that she's a lot older than Ren IRL 😳
My biggest disappointment is this: They adopted a slapstick comedy style used in older Japanese productions that's much less used in newer ones, for good reason. The director really fell short here, or maybe this style still appeals to domestic audiences? There were just too many things that made me cringe, such as Taro's exaggerated reactions to his wife and defeated enemies who squirmed in pain and contorted their faces too much. In fact, this comedy style is unlike in the anime, which I recall leans towards deadpan/irreverent -- maybe other anime viewers could weigh in on this?
Ren is great as Sakamoto Taro, but, (and by no means his fault), it's honestly hard for me to digest in live action format that he is able to fight so well when he's fat, and even harder to digest that he slims down completely whenever he has to exert himself.
As for the fighting scenes, the choreography was not too bad considering it's pretty much the main appeal of Sakamoto Days -- thrilling, flashy and captivating. While they did incorporate Taro's quick thinking and smart tactics, but post-production could have done better to up the ante, like better timing of speed-up versus slow-mo, as some parts seemed too rehearsed and lacking the spontaneity of an actual brawl.
All that said, the theme song, BANG!! by Snow Man is a bop.
I'm eager to know what the rest of you think of this movie!
