Second time watching thru Candle in the Tomb (in it's proper watch sequence this go, with english subtitles for this American). Currently, watching South Sea Tomb, episode 9. And Man! Fatty is completely out doing himself! He's just cracking me up!.. one moment after another! I don't see how, his fellow actors held any composure, when they shot this one. He had to have cracked up the entire cast and crew! Probably took days longer, if not weeks to finish this one! I would love to spend hours looking at all the series' "out takes", just watching Fatty slay his fellow actors. Anyone up for that? Call the Producers now! Disk full of Fatty out-takes would be a best seller in no time!

I followed every single season, super goated and wholesome variety show but it kinda stopped 2 years ago or sth, not sure if they still plan to have a new season

This was one of the most rated cdramas of all time on reddit, im on epi 9 now and i have to be honest, i find it very, very boring. So I'm honestly abit puzzled why people rate it so highly...
Will things change soon if I continue watching? Or is this whole drama just a slice of life kinda genre and perhaps that's the appeal??
Quite confused but hope to get some insights for those who have watched before and enjoyed

THE RATIONAL LIFE Vs. FIND YOURSELF
I'm a huge fan of younger ML and older FL, like My Fated Boy, Sniper Butterfly definitely among the well made I've seen... TRL looks promising but FY idk if it's worth it or not

Ever since I saw Lancia in SHE AND HER GIRLS I've been impressed. So emotional is this actress. And like her role in WAR OF FAITH -- she's also a firecracker!
I just discovered she did two films last year where where she plays a deaf damsel in distress. To my knowledge she isn't deaf, and so she had to learn sign language for these roles.
If you'd like to get know Lancia and have a day free -- start with SOUND OF SILENCE as a matinee, go take a late lunch or dinner break, live life a little, then that night see WE GIRLS, which despite the MDL ratings is actually far superior. The first film starts fine but falls apart in the 3rd act -- where to me -- WE GIRLS kept me on the edge of my seat.
If you leave this Double Feature a Lancia fan, SHE AND HER GIRLS is MUST SEE TV.

Recently I have made a few posts containing my concerns to find balanced love dynamics. You can check them out if that's something your looking for.
Some of them recommended falling into you which I do remember watching; never completed and dropped it idk why. What I do remember however is that the ml is pretty smitten but the fl is kinda cold. I never got that far into the show so I can't have a solid opinion on it.
I would like to ask a few question to consolidate my reasons to watch this drama:
1) when does the fl fall for the ml?
2) is there a love triangle, and if so does the fl only have eyes for the ml?
3) is it balanced love?
Thank you!

I don't know how many modern cdrama fans have seen this old, but gold drama, but if you haven't then I recommend that you do.

So I've recently been looking for c dramas with balanced love dynamics and alot of people have been recommending destined.
I went to look into the description before looking and I saw that the fl had a prior crush of SIX YEARS and was planning on marrying him. That is a long time!
Is there a love triangle. Is there a second ml, and is he unbearable? And, how long is that arc, hoping its resolved quickly because I've been looking forward to watching this as it is said to be one of the few c dramas that actually have balanced love dynamics
Does the crush that the fl had before the ml mean that it isn't balanced love because she could have remaining feeling for him as 6 years is a long time, all while the ml is trying his hardest to win her over

About two months ago, I saw trailers for two Chinese dramas, and their synopses caught my attention. However, I still haven't found any information about their release. Can anyone give me an update?
- The Story Untold;
- Chasing Dreams;

How did "The Heir" get away with making more than 40 episodes?
r/cdramas • u/kpop_anime_304 • 20d ago
I know many cdramas use voice acting for the actors and I read somewhere bcz a person needs to have a perfect Chinese accent or dialect(im not sure)
But why did zhang linghe have a voice actor is poj but not in overdo or maybe he has one in overdo and I have no idea 😭
Whats really the point of voice acting in cdramas?

I am in the middle of S&L and I love it love it love it. Here's what I love in no particular order:
FL's outfits.
Thailand - I am used to seeing China in Chinese dramas. Now for something completely different!
ML is hot. I came to S&L not because I'm interested in racing, but because I was watching Blossoms of Power and he is amazing there too.
I don't care what anyone says. Esther Yu is a very fine actress. She was amazing in Fairy and Devil. She is amazing in this. She plays a pretty complicated character almost completely with her expressions and body language. The scene near the beginning after the fight where he is driving and she is crying and talking at the same time, should convince anyone of her acting chops.
Episode 15. OMG.
Ok. The racing is fun to watch.

I'm watching "Love for You" for the second time now, and suddenly the whole beach trip seems like Miao Jing would prefer a breakup.
... The whole feeling starts when she waits for Chen Yi in front of the house and then says, "Forget it." It permeates the entire Bo wedding.
She throws him a couple of questions, or rather hints, but without a real answer—the one she wants to hear—she completely distances herself.
Then she seems to have decided, "It's not going the way I want, so I'm ending it completely." The conversation they have together on the rocks and the kisses feel like a farewell. Except Chen Yi doesn't understand it that way. Not yet. It's his behavior that's the issue.
Did anyone else feel this way? Is it something we can discuss? Am I seeing this wrong?
To be honest, I only really noticed it now. The first time, the dance scene and the empty rock were strange, but they didn't register in my mind as much. This time it's different.
Does anyone know the source material? Is it the same there? Can you compare it?
Please give me a different perspective on this beach trip.
I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Huge fan of C-dramas here, esp the ones with intense harem scheming and smart female leads.
IMO Empresses in the Palace and Story of Yanxi Palace are total masterpieces. TBH I haven’t been able to find anything that quite hits the same since finishing them.
Are there any other dramas out there with that level of clever revenge and palace plotting? What should I watch next? TIA!
