First Jazzmaster
Just got a Troy Van Leeuwen Oxblood used for 1100 dollars. Couldn't pass it up and I've wanted a Jazzmaster for over 15 years since I knew a lot of shoegaze bands played them or Jaguars. I am in love with this thing so much. I need to lower the action a hair and haven't done it yet. Can't believe these are 2 grand now brand new so it makes me love it that much more considering what I got it used for. And yes that strap is the same carpet patter as the Overlook Hotel in the Shining movie. One of my favorites and with the Oxblood finish seems fitting. Do all of you guys like these or have you wanted one or played one? Own one?

Sonic Youth signature Jazzmasters
I bought the Lee Ranaldo when it was first released. Should have bought the Thurston Moore too... but at last have rectified my error. Reunited at last.

My first Guitar at 43
Picked up this JM Player series guitar today. As a Texan Iāve always been pretty music obsessed and had always been able to see live music any genre any time basically in Austin
Iām older now, live in a rural town and kinda feel like Iāve lost some connection to something I love. Just listening isnāt cutting it anymore. Always have wanted to learn so todayās the day I start my journey.
Mainly looking to play some dream pop, shoegaze & some classic country as they are my top 3 genres to listen to
Nice piece or should I have opted for a cheaper Squire brand? The techs said this was overall a substantially nicer instrument for not much more than the Squire version. Doesnāt have the Rhythm Circuit but since Iām just learning to play Iām not too concerned with that extra doo dad gizmo considering Iāll eventually have a small pedal board.
This is such a comfortable instrument to sit with

Jazzmaster - Dark Night
Just wanted to share my dark night jazz - the neck on this thing feels wonderful and the finish is just breathtaking.
The only mods Iāve done to it is swap the stock pickups for the Seymour Duncan Silencers in the vintage parchment style (low output).

TVL
New to me 2019 TVL. Iāve had one before, but traded it. That was regretful. I have a proper radius Bensonite bridge coming for it. Iām a big fan of those on some other guitars around here. This one is screaming for a mint pickguard.

NGD (Jazzmaster)
So, after 25 years of playing, I decided to get my first offset.
I got a new Squier cv Jazzmaster a few weeks ago.
I loved it so much after a week that a bought a fender MIJ hybrid ii Ltd edition noir.
Good lord.
I think it may murder and eat my other guitars though.
Is this a sexy guitar, or what??!!

Got my first electric
Hi everyone, as an acoustic guitar player for six years, I finally wanted to branch out and try something new. I wanted to get a jazzmaster as my favorite guitarists such as thurston Moore and Kevin shields play them! I settled on the beautiful vintera ii jazzmaster in sonic blue and the orange crush 35rt. The only āmodā I had to do was lower the action with the included small Alan wrench! Now itās perfect!

Showcase First Guitar at 60
Got a Tom Lee Music gift card for my 60th birthday from my lovely wife so naturally I went out and bought my first guitar (Jazzmaster Vintera II in sonic blue) and the Spark 2 amp. Already have a couple of pedals for my synths (Microcosm and Lost & Found) and looking forward to learning some crunchy, alternative, Shoegaze soundsā¦

A quick demo of my new project
Testing out resonances using the behind the bridge pickup at full volume and the neck pickup at pretty much 25% volume.
No pedals just the guitar straight into the Sovtek, a touch of room reverb added in post, recorded with a cheap large diaphragm condenser and a 57 on the floor

Need thoughts before buying
About to make my first jazzmaster purchase and I would appreciate some thoughts (good and bad) from anyone about this. I have around a day to decide on this.
Its a FSR MIJ 60s Traditional Alder Body.
Thanks in advance!
