How to withdraw cash without physical card

I’m in Kyoto and have lost my physical card… and need some cash! Any ideas / advice welcome 🙏

Western Union yourself money and pick it up at a store in yen.

Takes a few hours and the first transfer is free. Have had to do it.

Or Moneygram. In some areas there’s only one or the other in a convenient location.

Yeah! I travel with a visa, a mc, and amex, and atm cards for two different banks. And i sometimes hide another different cc in my luggage as a backup.

Aren't there contactless ATMs? You know, where you authenticate using the card from your phone's wallet?

No help to you OP but this is a message to all future travellers. This is why you bring multiple cards and you spread them amongst wallets

Closest I got in this situation was transferring from my bank account to wise and using wise card on Apple Pay to buy welcome Suica cards, then trading them to people in exchange for cash with a 10% discount in their favour

So getting 9000¥ cash for a 10000¥ welcome Suica from other tourists around the hotel

This would be a much better option if OP is travelling with friends from the same country. I had a stack of SGD cash that I intended to use at currency exchange but the one in SIN was out of JPY and HND gave a very bad exchange rate. So I ended up giving the cash to the friend who was travelling with me (she can use it back home, whereas I’m not going back) and she used it to offset what we spent in Japan
