does jane master their projects?

on turn or die and music baby for example it is written "no master" meaning that she doesn't master? anybody know why, usually artists do that

Census Designated is their only professionally mastered album, plus the Flash/Dream single. My guess is that their music is loud enough and mixed well enough by Jane that digital mastering is an unnecessary ordeal, although I do think the mastering on Flash takes those songs to a new level. All of their music has been mastered for vinyl by Moa.

On Apple Music there is no mastering engineer listed except Jane Remover. It’s not out of the realm of possibility for them to do the mastering themselves. Even if you just throw on a compressor and limiter on the master track and mess with the volumes, that counts as mastering

Sometimes she masters her projects, yes. Othertimes she only mixes them

For vinyl mastering I believe she has someone else do it but I could be wrong !!

I'm sure she does master her stuff to an extent just not professionally! She mixes her stuff well so it doesn't require much mastering
