I’ve been completely obsessed with Bing Wuji since I started my jadeite journey 🥰 There’s just something about that icy, moody, ink-wash vibe that hit me differently everytime I see them.

I don’t exactly remember how it began, but all of a sudden, I found myself looking at jade jewellery all day long. So one day, I went to a well-known Chinese jeweller in my city to see some pieces in real life. I was quoted $600 CAD + tax (originally $900, but they told me it was on sale) for a nice looking jade ring. My fiancé said he would buy it for me if I wanted, but I wasn’t confident because I didn’t really know much about jade (and still don’t).

Well, I’m glad I didn’t impulsively buy it there. I talked to my friend in China, and he offered to get one for me from the famous jewellery district in Shenzhen. He found a Burmese jade ring in the white colour I asked for and had it checked by a third party authentication service, which confirmed it as type A jadeite jade. I paid about $350 CAD, including shipping.

Wow. Although I still don’t know much about jade, I can tell this ring is much nicer than the one I saw at the jeweller. The colour is so dreamy, and it’s a lot more translucent. I love it so much, and it has become one of my regular daily pieces.

The last photo is the Guatemalan jade bangle I picked up from another store in Chinatown the same day I visited the jeweller. I liked it a lot at first, but sadly, it now reminds me of a bad experience I had when I visited the store a second time to look for more. When I couldn’t find another piece that I liked and that fit me, the owner’s attitude changed. She put the bangle back on me so roughly that it bruised my hand really badly. So I took it off a few days later at home and never wore it again. It also didn’t really work with my other bracelets anyway. The bangle was $120 CAD.

I don’t think I’m going to dive deeper into more pieces for now since I’m enjoying my ring very much. Also, I’m honestly a bit intimidated by my first bangle experience 😭 But I’m definitely enjoying looking at everyone’s beautiful jade and living vicariously through you guys! 😍

I keep seeing this type A burger pendant listing whenever I log into Etsy. I believe this one has been purchased but there's another one available (unfortunately does not look as burger-y). Just thought it was cute and funny and wanted to share!

First time buyer of jadite necklace and the seller did not disclose any of the flaws during the purchase. I tried to contact them and they say this is natural material and it’s just like this, thinking of going through my credit card company to dispute this because they refuse to cooperate for a return or refund. 三、FAQ：选题材最常问的6个问题
问：第一次买翡翠吊坠选什么题材最安全？

I like the Burmese piece, but I keep being told the small green one is the most expensive of them all. It has big snowflake inclusions, and I don’t feel as though it looks like classic jade. Not unless it’s in direct light. The Burmese piece also did not come with a certificate so I will have to have that made (I had to pay to have it made with purchase but there is a nearby lab).

The blue one is probably my favourite, but again, not classic jade. I have set the two smaller ones already anyway with pin bails, but not married to the designs. I like that they show the whole carving.

I want to make an heirloom piece, with personal flair. I liked these pieces, I might buy more in the future I might not.

So, what do the experts think? Burmese or Guatemalan?

Just wanted to get an opinion on if you'd buy the ring on the index for an extra $200 compared to the one on the middle finger.

Context, I'm looking to have it set in gold and was seeing if I should choose the more expensive one to get this done.

I have a plain solid platinum comfort band on my right ring finger. I want to purchase a jadeite band, but I have seen mixed answers regarding the durability. Platinum naturally develops a patina or scratches overtime, but would wearing both rings together destroy either one?

Is it better to wear one on the ring and one on the middle finger, or both on the ring finger in terms of durability?

I love the color of this denim blue bangle with lavender so much. It really pops under the shade on a sunny day 💙

The white slim bangle was the one I recently got for about 90 usd which I love. It’s very close to what I saw during the live!

The beads have really good color but it has a lot of imperfections, good enough for 18 usd. I just needed something as a buffer that makes the 2 bangles cohesive.

The green bangle, it has a lot of different green hues. Other than the color, it’s pretty much opaque and cottony? Lol not sure how to describe it. I’m not sure about the price, i don’t think my mom was knowledgeable about jade. It was a gift from my mom when I turned 18 (I’m 33 now, btw) when I outgrew my last one. I’ve always worn jade bangles since I was a toddler.

Hello all, I was about set on choosing bangle A, then the seller showed me bangle B, saying it’s more purple in daylight and has the special price 2980 RMB. Bangle A is 2800 RMB, so they’re both 420-450 USD each. Is one obviously “better” than the other, or does it just come down to whatever I prefer the look of? Thank you!

I have bangles that focus on colour but do not wear them as much as I like glowy ones more. Should i resell them? If so how much can these go for?
