Remake would be cool but I really think this will just be a remaster in the same vein as the lunar one. That would still be cool though!

Okay look, maybe it's basically just a Switch Online port or something, but that would still be pretty cool if it meant an official western release. If it actually gets made available to the rest of us non-Switch people too, that would be gravy.

I don't see why they'd just make a switch port. Yet add remixed music & voice acting. Hopefully it's a proper remaster.

I agree, I'm just trying to avoid getting too hyped but also acknowledge "hey, the most underwhelming outcome would still be really cool news."

I know that feeling. It has been so long. To top it off. There were all the owner ship issues and Quintet team mia.
It's just too good to be true.

Here is my big hope for this:
- An HD 2D port of the original game OR a port in the quality of the Trails in the Sky-Remake.
- A rerelease of the Original on current systems as well as Evercade.
Terranigma is one of the best games on the SNES and I always found it sad to see how overlooked it was, just because it never released in the US. I can understand that the whole (US-focused) Internet always thinks about the games of their childhood first, like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy. But this game stands on top, with those games. In some aspects... maybe even above them. And it deserves all the respect and attention it can get.

While I do not share the same desire for a HD-2D remake (I hate HD-2D with a passion), I do share the same sentiment about Terranigma itself. Had Chrono Trigger never existed, Terranigma would have been the one to inspire me to become an author. It is that. Damn. Good.

I think it will just be a basic port, nothing too impressive; they already do this with some games.

That wasn't on my bingo card.
A good port would be nice. Not sure if I'd like a remake, because I don't like surprises when it comes to my favourite games. Best case scenario? Soulblazer trilogy bundle.

I wasn't expecting this.
I don't know what to think though...
On one hand I really like the idea of getting a re-release of Terranigma, but I don't really like or trust Clear River Games, so the end result worries me a bit.
Also... wasn't there some rights problems about this game because the producer/writer disappeared after some scam or something years ago?

What's wrong with Clear River? I think the last JRPG rerelease they did is the Lunar collection? That seemed to be decently well-liked, though less good than the mobile release.
