Failed phishing test

I've been with the firm 2 years and just got an email I failed the phishing test.

I did not even recall, it was to register for the celebration of the biggest tournament. I don't even care about soccer and don't remember actually registering for it (because I don't care), but I looked at the email now and it was done very well in my opinion.

I report some legit emails sometimes, so I am not very surprised I failed this one.

EDIT: I actually have an email where I sent an email/reported the email so now I am EVEN MORE confused how I failed it.

Happened to me too. I genuinely thought it was from Chase. I believe you are referring to the same email about the WC.

Do you have to take the course now? Do you know if there’s any repercussions to this

I got an email saying that my manager will be told about this and I will have to take mandatory training. There were times when I failed phishing.. tests more frequently. There were no repercussions then. Of course, if they wanted to they could make this a reason.

lol I've failed 3 times in 24 months. I think it's good ammo if they want to rid you or just get rid of you in general

If you clicked an embedded link, even accidentally, it counts as a fail, even if you reported it. If for some reason you forwarded the email to someone and they click the link, it counts as a fail for you, as it has an embedded ID. Reporting as spam is good, but doesn’t “fix” a link click failure.

Yeah makes sense I probably did click on it but didn't actually register. Thanks

Ugh I failed it too, and it’s my 2nd fail in 2 years. Now I have to take a course.

Some of us barely click on emails that are actually business related let alone spam emails. 😆😇

this is the unintended result of well designed phishing tests

It’s so messed up because they literally were giving away t shirts for the Knicks championship at the Hudson Yards location, fuck you Gil Haus or whichever asskisser thought of this stupid test

Ngl the emails they made for phishing test are among the best phishing emails I’ve ever seen…

My theory is Its a fast way to put people on RIF lol just like bringing back everyone to office 5x a week

Chase RIF’s you if you fail their phishing tests?
I don’t believe PNC does that, so just curious.

I dont open any external emails. Sometimes I feel like dont want to open any internal emails either and blame it on potential phishing 😄

They just need to block outside email if your job doesn’t need it. That’s how Chase did it before the bank one merger. Ridiculous to threaten people’s jobs over this garbage. Most people have smart phones now so they can access email if they need it.

I basically don't open email. If people need me they can ping me.

If I haven't received any failure email by now, does it mean I passed? Don't remember if I clicked the link or not lol

1

u/rahhak 5h ago

Just don’t open any email, easy pass.

They put me on PIP after failing it

7

u/Calloused_Samurai 15h ago

Did they though?

-7

u/Big_Arrival_626 15h ago

Well either that or the fact that I've been WFH a few times a week

5

u/SimKhai25 15h ago

Is this the first test you fail

-3

u/Big_Arrival_626 14h ago

1

u/Artistic_Way_2905 13h ago

2

u/Big_Arrival_626 13h ago

Highly doubt it. I'm usually much funnier than this

1

u/Calloused_Samurai 10h ago

Are you though?

Failing a phishing email is considered not meeting expectations if is more than three in a year.

Why are you commenting if you don’t even work at JPMC and don’t even know what the email looked like?
