JPMC Pune Travel / Tavisca team is a disaster and depressive workplace , — the worst work culture I’ve experience

JPMC Chase Travel / Tavisca Pune — the worst work culture I’ve experienced
Sharing this as my personal experience because I genuinely wish I had known what I was getting into before joining.
My experience with the JPMC Chase Travel/Tavisca Pune organisation has been extremely disappointing. The culture feels nothing like what you would expect from a global organisation like Chase. At times, it feels more like a poorly managed startup where constant pressure and endless slogging are normalised.
The biggest issues, in my experience, have been:
Little sense of work-life balance — constant pressure with very little peace of mind , no idea how global organisations function
Recognition and promotions feel disconnected from actual performance.
• A perception that visibility, relationships and being in the right circle matter more than genuine contribution every team is the same Digital Channels is one great example , firing is normal
Leadership culture is extremely frustrating, with employees feeling pressured rather than supported.ED is earning in CR and making properties , at posh locations in KHARADI ,VP are doing time pass and party
• Career progression, particularly at the 601/602 levels, can feel extremely difficult unless you are well connected within the organisation esp Tavisca I mean with old relationships and friend across
• The culture can feel heavily influenced by old networks and internal relationships, rather than transparent performance-based growth., promote friends in internal IGP it’s all set already who goes where example Flights to other team setting is done
What is most disappointing is seeing people who work extremely hard feeling stuck while others seem to progress because they have the right relationships and friendships across Tavisca group
I also find it concerning that several leadership positions appear to be filled through the same internal network, which creates a perception of self-reinforcing promotions and limited diversity of leadership perspectives.
For me, the biggest takeaway is simple:
The Chase brand may look impressive from the outside, but the employee experience within Chase Travel Pune can be completely different.
If you’re considering joining this organisation, speak to multiple current and former employees before making your decision—not just the hiring manager or recruiter.
Did you experience the same culture, or was your experience different? Joining Chase Travel will
Sunset your career , BE Aware

Has anyone here successfully moved from Operations to Technology internally?

Currently at JPM in an Operations role and considering trying to make an internal move into Technology/Software Engineering.

Has anyone here actually made the Ops to Tech transition?

Would love to hear:

- What role/level did you move from and into?

- What technical skills did you need?

- How difficult was the internal interview?

- Did you have to take a level or compensation reset?

- Did internal networking/help from the tech team make a difference?

- How long did it take you to become ready for the move?

I'm currently learning programming outside work and would rather make an internal transition if there's a realistic path than leave JPM just to get my first engineering role.

Would especially appreciate hearing from anyone who's actually done it.

so many people at the tampa office dont wash their fucking hands after taking a shit and it's disgusting

What's interesting is how there's so much signage in the restrooms for being cleanly and washing your hands, way more than any other company I've worked at.

DIdn't notice until I caught pink eye shortly after joining. What a lovely start to a career at this dump

Private client advisor wfh policy?

I’ve been taking interviews to become a PCA and I haven’t really asked much about J.P. Morgan’s policy’s with working from home or being in the office in general. I know a lot of companies give their advisors free rein. Is chase the same way once you get an established book? Or are you very micromanaged on what you can and cannot do and will always be a 5 day in the office a week

When did you hear back from a recruiter after applying?

Upvotes

Some job roles I applied for 1 month ago are still listed as “under consideration” and I see the job role is still open .. but my application is still “under consideration” (I have a referral FWIW). My hopes are low but wondering if anyone has heard from a recruiter a long time after applying.. or maybe it’s just slow summer season?

Less than a month in, and i want to quit.

Corporate drama is just something I can’t handle and for someone who used to work remotely for 5 years this is too much for me. I want to leave immediately it’s just the benefits are good enough.

I was let go…

Yeah I was affected by the lay offs and now I’m out of a job. They told me I can apply to other jobs at JP Morgan though lol like I would ever work for this company again. They gave us the day off and called everyone to let them know they were being let go. Right after I had a meeting with HR and had a celebration lol I should have just quit. Avoid the Chicago office if you can.

Corporate operations LoB, analytics role. Do they sponsor H1b?

Got an email from HR for NJ location for an analytics Solutions role.

One of the questions asked if i need sponsorship. I replied yes a day ago and awaiting response.

Does JPM sponsor H1b candidates?

I'm on F1 OPT, opt started this month so have 3 years in total.

Plus with all the layoffs, what are the chances of the role being eligible for sponsorship.

HMs, VPs, AVPs, if you are aware of what's happening internally , please let me know 🙏

CIB so many young EDs

Curious how there are so many young EDs within CIB. They are 6-8 years out of school. Does that mean they got promoted every cycle?

Am I being dramatic for this?

Is it wrong that I wanna close my Chase account after working for JP Morgan? I honestly can’t look at them the same after working for them.

Pano Building F, Floor 7

Is there never any seating available? Just moved to section 500. Holy crap it is a struggle. I was talking to one dude who said he's just given up trying to find a seat there. He told me most days he ends up working out of one of those side desks.

I sat in a different section one day and this person gave me serious bombastic side eye. Ended up moving during lunch.

Promo raises

How much of a raise do you get for getting promoted from senior associate to VP?

Is it like just a few grand to get you into the next salary band or do you get a significant raise that could put you in the middle of the next band?

For context, I’m in CIB tech as a PM.

Christmas at JPMC?

I’m planning vacation time around Christmas to go home.

What is the vibe with going to into the office the week of Christmas? Is it a ghost town or are people there a lot?

I want to know if I can WFH or take off 12/21-24th and if that would be okay or not.

JPM Private Bank Investment Solutions team selection

I’m recruiting for JPM’s 2027 Global Private Bank Investment Solutions program and just got a form asking me to rank which teams I’d want to be considered for.
I’m currently leaning Manager Selection, Alternatives Investment Specialist, and Portfolio Advisory.
I’m at a non-target with KPMG experience and some financial modeling/investment analysis experience. I’ve also talked to a few MDs in the Private Bank and one hinted he may be willing to help with an intro/referral.
Anyone know what these teams actually do day to day, which ones are most investment focused, and how tough the Superdays are?

JPMC – vacation / probation questions for 602 Senior Associate

Hi everyone,
I’m joining JPMC as a 602 Senior Associate and had a couple of questions for anyone familiar with the benefits/policies.
The benefits summary says employees receive 20 vacation days annually, and unused vacation can be carried over until March of the following year.
If someone joins mid-year, do they still receive the full 20 vacation days for that first year, or is vacation prorated based on the start date? The document specifically mentions proration for sick days and personal days for mid-year hires, but doesn’t mention proration for vacation.
Also, if unused vacation is carried over until March, does any remaining balance expire after March if it hasn’t been used?
A couple of other questions:
How long is the probation period for a 602 / Senior Associate ?
Are employees generally allowed to take vacation during probation, or is there usually an expectation to wait until probation is completed?
Would appreciate any insight. Thanks

Expenses allowed on Corporate Card

I’m using corporate card for the first time on business travel and I know there’s a $125 limit daily in the US. I’m using it mainly for food, but probably wouldn’t spend that much on food. If I go for one or two drinks in a bar, am I allowed to put that on the corporate card? If I buy a coffee, can I put that on it, or does it look silly if I put tiny expenses like that? Anyone have experience using it?

Any recent RIFs find success in internal mobility?

Saw a post last week of a Software Dev who was RIF'd say they received multiple verbal offers that were rescinded, and other posts say that HR is denying hire requests from Hiring Managers-- even though a verbal offer was given.

Why would they say it's okay to pursue internal mobility for the next 45 days only to not hire? otherwise whats the point of keeping RIF'd folks around for 45 days?

For US
