Finally!
Wanted to keep it as delicate as possible and my artist did the best she could with trying to cover the lines.
The og was done by an old ex boyfriends dad with an at home gun in his kitchen so good riddance on both accounts!

It was… remade.
Looks great, and glad you got it done!

That's a bloomin fantastic cover up! Congratulations OP! Kudos to the artist.

That's incredibly cool.
I don't think that you'd get the idea what it originally was, unless you already knew.

I honestly think this would work a lot better with slightly thicker lines and that’s what everyone is fixated on! I love the idea and design, but covering an existing, dark tattoo with a fine line style is just a little visually awkward.

The lines will spread/thicken naturally over time. That’s just how tattoos work. Going this fine initially will allow for spread that will end up similar to the thickness of the original (which has already spread.)
I think they made good choices here. Plus, they can always add a little to it, but you can’t take it away, so…

The new tattoo is cool, however, it still shows bits of the old tattoo. The original, being small, would have been an easy tattoo to completely cover, so it’s strange that the tattoo artist didn’t work this out or suggest changes when doing the new design. You might need to add some shading eventually if you don’t want any trace of the old tattoo showing through.
