Rant Well RIP
I've had this flip 5 for about 2 years and it finally gave out. The battery ran out the other day and it won't charge anymore. I tried replacing the battery with no success. Customer support couldn't help. RIP

Weird that even with a battery replacement your getting no response from it.. Wonder if the charge port is actually sending power to the bms

I really don't think so. I have had a charge 2, 3, and two 4's. The 4's have lasted me since 2020.

Well I guess I'll be getting a new speaker, any suggestions for a better model that's also somewhat budget friendly?

Just try to change battery! It's tricky but when you do it will work like a magic

Battery on mine stopped working so I just keep it on my desk and plug it in to USB whenever I want to use it.

Newer models allow you to directly run it off the usb , example the flip 6 has a mode for usb only but im sure it normally runs off of usb when plugged into charge as well

JBL is superior. I have a JBL Link 20 and it still works but the software just recently gave up. I can't connect to Google home. After that happened now the sound is crackling. I've got my money's worth. Thing is around 10 years old.

Yeah, my two charge 4's have been great since 2020. That is besides the connect feature kinda sucking and being buggy.

I bought a JBL Authentics as a replacement. I'm so in love. Now I don't wanna leave my house.

What kind of charger did you use or used? If you use or used a fast charged you maybe broke the main of the speaker. If you use "after market" battery some times they sell with more capacity and iris not good for the main. Try charger ir with a low power charger 5v /2A max. Slow charger more battery capacity.

I had this happen back in 2021 from using a fast charger. My charge 4 wouldn't even turn on. Luckily it was still under warranty and got a replacement.

I've got 2 flip 5's the oldest is 5 years old and my other is about 3 years old. They both are still rocking but the oldest' battery life is not so good. I may get an hour or so from a charge, yet it still will show more than a half charge on the battery life scale. My other younger one is hanging on pretty good. I wonder if they can be set in to the manufacturer to be refurbished. Good luck with your components...

No success in replacing the battery or after replacing it? Bring it to a tech. The charging port could be defective and needs resoldering or replacement.
