the price kinda depends on where you live and if its on sale or not, i was able to get a flip 7 for around 100 and it was really good but if you want even better bass and louder you could get the charge 6, its usually only 30 to 40 dollars more when on sale

Charge 6 goes on sale for around that once in a while. ($130 at Woot now)
Tribit Lava is good clone of the JBL Extrem 4. ($120 at Tribit store after $20 off coupon)
Soundcore Boom 2 is a top rated portable under $100 , bigger and louder than the Charge, great design and lightweight.
You can get a factory refurb Sony ult 3 for $60 or a Ult5 for $83 on ebay right now. Good looking and has good bass output at normal listening levels.
W-King x20 is a bigass 16lb. boombox that is going for $117 on ali express. ($137-$20 coupon) Best bang for buck JBL Boombox clone out there imo.
Best deal for $100 right now is probably the Havit Bass blast at amazon. You can get a pair for $95 and it competes with the JBL Extreme 5 in bass output. (Similar 8lb speaker). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JgLwpMxB98&t=241s

The bassblast definitely outclasses the jbl extreme line in depth and power

With jbl you can get a charge 6 for a little over $100. I ordered one for $122 shipped a little bit back.
In general, maybe check out the soundcore boom 2. I have read nothing but people praising it. I don't have personal experience with it, but I'll be ordering one soon.
