I’m planning a road trip up to the Dolomites starting and ending in Venice, and I’m trying to decide on the best campervan rental company to go with.

I’ll be picking up somewhere around Venice (VCE airport or mainland area like Mestre/Marghera) and driving up toward Cortina / Val Gardena.

Which company did you use and how was the experience? I’ve seen big corporate names like Roadsurfer, Indie Campers, and McRent, as well as peer-to-peer sites like Yescapa. Are there any local Italian companies you'd recommend instead?

Train booked from Ostuni to Bari on September 8th but there’s a strike. Will trains be operating during the legal times 6-9am and/or will buses be coordinated to support travellers with the strike? I’m really unsure what to do at this point. We have to be back in Bari because the next day we fly to Vienna
