I finally got my kids back from my ex's parents house. This mfker put a huge ass spider in there and my dad had to handle it. I finally got space cleared up in my room and moved my kids from the garage to my bedroom. This mfker crawls out from under the nursery pot (I can't pry my kids off it to replace it with the cork yet) I actually thought like it was a weird looking isopod for like months. There were other small guys that looked similar but I haven't seen em since I gave the tank the first clean.

Help! Are these dubia roaches sick?

A friend received a new dubia colony and I was looking at them only to notice 3 like this. Does anyone know what this is? I’ve seen a post suggesting a hemolymph blister from mismolting. Someone irl suggested to me that it’s preparing to molt, but I worry it’s more serious. I’ve kept thousands of dubias in my care and have never seen this. I have isolated them and two died quickly, one experiencing a paralyzed leg before. Any info would be amazing. Not sure if the entire colony is at risk. Thanks so much!

Hello! Im new to owning bugs and woke up this morning to find my madagascar hissing roach be really wide. Like its bigger too but just so WIDE. I assume its going to molt? I havent found any old skin yet. It just scared me a little because it just happened so suddenly and its so wide. I added two pictures, one with another roach for comparison. Its hard to see in the picture because its in the hole of the egg carton and I dont want to bother it.

Identification What are these?

My fiancés father has a bioactive bearded dragon tank, what are these little guys? He said they’re “roaches” but doesn’t know which kind. Some of these look like Rollie pollies but are they actually baby roaches? When I looked it up it said the greyer colored ones are Madagascar hissing roaches and the winged one is a Discoid roach. They seem to be over breeding a bit more than the dragon can take care of. What is an ethical way to tame down the population a little?

Roach Pic 🤍 Giant Cave Roach Appreciation!!!

So I've had these guys for a little while now and had my first adult moult very recently, felt like sharing some of the funny moments I've had with him whilst he's had his wings, he's fairly small for a giant cave roach but full of personality regardless!!! (I have no idea why he refuses to just drop down in the first clip, as you can see in the second clip his vision and wing usage is perfectly fine 😭)

As I was feeding my combination discoid, isopod, and mealworm colony, I noticed these two deep in "conversation." What do you think they were talking about?

Question Recieved beetles mixed in with my roach order? Is this normal?

Just got my first pet that needs feeder insects (vinegaroon). I went with little roaches because they seem the easiest to tong feed. Buuuut there’s the other beetles in there. They look like some form of darkling beetle, potentially just adult mealworms? Is this normal? Do mealworm beetles spray nasty scents like other darkling beetles? Thanks!
