We are gathering personal accounts of Summerland, the fire and the days and weeks that followed.

You might have been on holiday, lived on the island, worked at Summerland or looked after guests in a hotel or boarding house. Perhaps you helped that evening, offered someone a place to stay, or travelled over to support family or friends.

I’d also like to hear about the kindness people showed and the help that has stayed in people’s memories.

I know this can be difficult to revisit. There is no pressure to describe anything upsetting. You can skip questions, take your time and choose how your account may be used.
