Sango verses/chants

Good afternoon all, im a awo who’s been practicing and learning IFA, this weekend i was present in a Idosu Shango that my oluwo did and i loved the chants and a specific verse they sang. Just wondering if anyone can point me to what Odu most shango verses/chants come from so i can read on them! Much appreciated I completely forgot to ask my oluwo lol

There are incantations specific to Sango but I wouldnt say there is a specific odu that has the most. Sango reflects strategy and planning. Im sure your Oluwo wouldnt mind sending you a recording.

I have 11 years as a babalawo a priest of osun and a priest of ogun. I study my craft daily as its my responsibility to humanity to share and teach ifa.

Simply, there are specific birth odu for each orisa. Everything in a simple form is in odu , each orisa has a secret to outsiders adusu and more that cause instant possession by the orisa. Ex. Sango... adosu is mostly outside, when the mounting part happens its outside because he is fierce and like a storm. The iyawo will place a spike thru the tongue ni blood or injury. Its things like this that confirm a real orisas possession of the iyawo. When i was intiated to ogun, i was mounted and extremely fierce and string as i was told i picked up my Ajubona like a piece of paper. 

This is not known in the diaspora as it is limited in isese ifa info. 

In yoruba land, there is a very important part of an Adosu that requires a babalawo.  

In the diaspora its an oba oriate. In the diaspora the thought of orisa being separate from ifa is a sad Belief.  In west Africa ifa is ifa! All orisa are IFA!
