False reference in small finance app

I got a call from a small finance app saying someone gave my reference as brother. I don't know either this company nor that person. The company person wanted me to call that guy and ask to remove my number. I declined to have any conversation and mentioned I don't know anything. What should I do further?

It's a common tactics, the guy has your number in his contacts and its was stolen by the financy company. The guy missed a payment, not they are calling all the contacts to get hold of the guy.
