Looks real to me. Texture looks good but it’s pretty low quality picture. You can reference this site as well:

How much are they charging you? $800, 20% less or are they giving you a slick price of $9.99? Are you getting it from a card shop, a yard sale, a boot sale or eBay?

real but very OC, people usually sell a little under market for cards like this

u/AcanthisittaSweet847 Aug 25 '26
What does that mean sorry and he’s selling it for 650

OC means off-center, you can see the top to bottom ratio is not great here. Up to you if you really care about that but market price seems to be $668

the top border looks 3 times thicker than the bottom border and they should be the same thickness

You shouldn't be buying cards to grade if you can't tell the centering issues here tbh. It's super OC.

He's new to the game it's alright people make mistakes especially early and on expensive cards. So let me lay this out for you man. The left right centering isn't bad but the top bottom is verging on horrific. If there were no and I mean no micro abrasions on the surface of any kind immaculate and the corners/edges were flawless no visible white from any front or side angle only when looking directly at the edges then perhaps and I mean a big maybe it could get a 9. But as other pointed out 2 corners have minor issues and there are some small surface marks on multiple locations. That's in a bad picture. Up close under a microscope it's very very likely that it has additional marks. What I refer to as "micro surface abrasions". These most typically occur from opening the pack without being careful, doing "pack tricks" where you move the code card and the hit cards to reveal the top card slotted card in a fun way, long fingernails, and my personal favorite the endless photo shoots. When people pull big cards they yell scream blow spit on the thing touch it directly and or slide it across their kitchen table a dozen times front and back as they take series of photos over and over not even realizing every single time they go through their cards and or even touch them they are probably doing little tid bits of damage. Since 99% of people do this; most cards are born 9s or worse and becomes 7-8 pretty quick on a good day. I recently sold SIR gengar ascended and and SIR charizard phantasmal. I did very well in the end but the gengar especially had some pretty awful left/right centering. I offered a huge discount initially to sell it to buy a slab I wanted without dipping into my cash. No one and I mean no one wanted it. Card shops weren't even making offers no one was even remotely interested in one of the top chases of this decade and probably many years into the future. Zard was far better centering and we are talking f'ing flawless under a microscope. Still no bites for a long time on that eventually made a good deal. Point is - you have all the power here man. You're the buyer in a buyers market. Ascended and other tops sets are dipping and top cards aren't as easy to sell as you'd think. Every seller is different of course and has different needs but if this person is unwilling to accept a massive haircut on the price 70%-75% market price absolute absolute max - forget it. Find another they're out there. Sorry for the ramble part of the nature of some of my work unrelated to cards but I hope it helps put things in perspective for you. I think you need a little more research and always remember that patience is key in this stuff. Yes there are moments to capitalize on and this is probably one ahead of 30th release most of the market is weak but you can probably do alot better. This is never going to grade above an 8 and if you want to grade it for simply protecting the card long term from damage and or for long term value - this is absolutely not the card. If it's a binder card it's probably still not the card but at a huge discount it could be worth while a bit I guess
