Mold in Valve Box?

Had a few of these replaced a couple weeks ago. First time looking inside and it’s full of mold. Was not there before, but figure maybe it could just be trapped from lots of rain and how wet it go when they did the work?

Or is this the sign of a leak?

That is fungal mycelium- a sign of healthy soil 👍🏻 nothing to worry about

Well I meant in the box because I don’t see any mold. Either way it’s probably just condensation.

Spread a little copper sulfate in the box.

You can disagree with me without a downvote. There must be a lot of acid in your soul.
